Men win 198-101 and Women win 205-90
The No. 8/6-ranked University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving team swept visiting Missouri Friday afternoon at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. The Cardinal men won 205-90 and the women prevailed 198-101.

The Cardinals were buoyed by multi-event winners led by Julia Dennis' four wins (200 Medley Relay, 50 free, 100 free, 400 Free Relay) and newcomer Thilda Hall, who swept the distance events. Rian Graham led the men with three wins (200 Medley Relay, 100 fly and 400 Free Relay) and Gregg Enoch scored a pair of wins in the 500 free and the 200 IM.

The Cardinals started the meet out with a win in the 200 medley relay. UofL's A-relay team of Julie Mishler (24.34), Caroline Larsen (26.34), Ella Welch (22.75) and Julia Dennis (21.26) put up a Division I qualifying time of 1:34.69. The Cardinal B-relay touched second with a time of 1:37.74 put up by Camille Murray (24.29), Mia Cheatwood (27.51), Karoline Barrett (23.75) Â and Abby Karl (1:37.44). The Louisville men followed suit with the A-relay winning time of 1:23.87 posted by Rian Graham (21.43), Grant Gooding (23.81), Aiden Musso (20.20) and Nikita Sheremet (18.43).

Freshman newcomer Thilda Hall made her debut as a Cardinal with a win in the 1000 freestyle, posting the winning time of 9:37.10. Leticia Romao was right behind her, touching in 9:37.42. In the men's 1000, UofL's Max Hatcher turned in the winning time of 9:08.12 with Kayden Lancaster touching third in 9:12.10.

In the 200 freestyle, Summer Cardwell led the 1-2-4 finish for the Cardinals with a time of 1:45.82. Next into the wall as Daria Golovaty (1:47.42) and Amelia Bodenstab's (1:48.53). Guy Brooks won the men's event with a 1:34.85 with teammate Matias Santiso right behind, touching second in 1:35.60. Oscar Isberg was fourth with a time of 1:37.24.

In the women's 100 backstroke, Camille Murray was into the wall first with a time of 51.82 for a Division I qualifying time. Cardinal freshman Xeniya Ignatova was second in 53.95 and Abby Karl completed the top three sweep with a 54.87. Missouri's Quinlan Gould won the men's 100 back with a time of 46.69. UofL's Filip Kosinski was second in 47.25 and Jackson Millard was third, turning in a 47.31.

Anastasia Gorbenko notched her first win in her debut as a Cardinal with a win in the 100 breast, going 58.45 for the win. Mia Cheatwood was second in 59.93. For the men, Finnley Conklin was first into the wall with a 53.36.

Missouri's Maeve DeYoung won the 200 butterfly, boarding a 1:58.71. UofL's Kaitlyn Sallows touched third in 2:03.72. The Tigers won the men's 200 fly when Jan Zubik held off UofL's Tommy Bried, with the winning time of 1:42.55 with Bried boarding a 1:42.81. Gregg Enoch was third (1:43.64) and Aidan Paro was fourth (1:45.62) with all four times making the Division 1 cut.

Julia Dennis made a Division I cut with her winning time of 21.78 in the 50 free. The Cardinals captured the top four spots with Caroline Larsen touching in 21.98 followed by Julie Mishler (22.22) and Ella Welch (22.50). Mizzou's Luke Nebrich held off the Cardinals in the men's 50 free, turning in the winning time of 19.23 to out-touch Nikita Sheremet's 19.25 and Charlie Crush's 19.63.

The Louisville sprint crew went 1-2-3 in the 100 free with Julia Dennis leading the charge with a 48.02 for a DI qualifying time. Julie Mishler was second (49.24) followed by Daria Golovati's 49.67. For the men, Missouri's Nebrich notched his second win with a 43.01. Guy Brooks touched second for the Cards, turning in a 43.25 and Matias Santiso was third (43.89).

In the 200 backstroke, UofL's  Xeniya Ignatova was first with a 1:54.37 for a DI qualifying time with teammate Camille Murray touching second in 1:5.75. Jackson Millard won the men's 200 back with a time of 1:42.35 with Cardinal teammate right behind him as Filip Kosinski boarded a 1:43.25. Cardinal Nate Thomas was third, going 1:44.63.

Mia Cheatwood led the Cardinals 1-2-3 sweep of the 200 breaststroke with the winning time of 2:09.42. Kim Herkle was second (2:10.52) followed by Anna Inagaki's 2:11.49 with the top two slots making the DI qualifying cut. UofL's Jake Eccleston won the men's 200 breast with a 1:56.44 followed by Finnley Conklin (1:57.02) and then Tommy Bried was fourth with a 1:57.64.

Thilda Hall completed the distance sweep with a win in the 500 free, going 4:43.69 for a DI cut. Leticia Romao was second in 4:44.27 and Summer Cardwell was third in 4:51.23. Gregg Enoch won the men's 500, turning in a time of 4:20.98 with Oscar Isberg touching second in 4:24.69 just ahead of Kayden Lancaster's 4:27.54.

Caroline Larsen won the 100 butterfly for the Cardinals, stopping the clock in 51.62, edging teammate Ella Welch, who went 51.91 with both times qualifying for the DI standard. Â Cardinal Rian Graham won the men's 100 fly with a time of 46.96 dueling teammate Aidan Paro down the stretch with Paro touching in 46.96. UofL's Aiden Musso was third (47.93).

In diving, Tanner Braunton won the men's 3M springboard with a mark of 380.78 and the 1M with a 341.33. Â In the 3M, UofL's Ray Preas was second in 366.68 and Rayce Winn's 366.68 was good for third and Winn was second in the 1M board with a 332.78.
 In women's 1M, Missouri took the top three spots with UofL's Audree Brazeau-Howes finishing fourth 269.78. Mizzou won the top two spots in the 3M with Brazeau-Howes finishing third with 294.98.

Summer Cardwell got her second win with the top time in the 200 IM when she turned in a 1:58.47. Kim Herkle was into the wall second with a time of 1:59.15. Gregg Enoch notched his second win of the day in the 200 IM when he touched in 1:44.94. Jackson Millard was second (1:47.27) followed by Aidan Paro (1:47.95) and Drew Collins (1:48.52) to complete the Cardinal sweep.

In the  400 Free Relay, UofL's A-relay of Caroline Larsen (47.88), Julia Dennis (47.36), Julie Mishler (48.43) and Ella Welch (48.69) took top honors with a time of 3:12.36, five seconds ahead of the field. The Louisville men won the final relay as well, with Nikita Sheremet (42.87), Guy Brooks (42.38), Matias Santiso (43.05) and an anchor of 43.35 by Rian Graham as the foursome posted a 2:51.65.
