2025-26: At NCAAs, Ray posted a score of 303.05 in platform. He scored 24 points at the ACC Championships in Atlanta. He was 19th in 1-meter (285.35), 34th in 3-meter (263.50) and sixth in the finals of the platform (343.05). During the Dual Meet Season: Ray Preas competed in exhibition and scored a 362.85 against Xavier. Against Notre Dame, he placed first in platform diving with a score of 339.15. Preas also placed fifth in one-meter diving with a 304.20 score. Against Missouri he competed in the 3-meter dive and finished second with a final score of 366.68. In the 1-meter dive he finished third with a total score of 320.85. Against Cincinnati in the 200 freestyle relay, he swam in exhibition with a split of 24.77. In the platform dive, he placed second with a score of 362.48. And in the 1-meter dive, he scored a 355.35, placing third.
2024-25: Ray competed in the USA Diving Nationals, where he placed 17th in the 1M (284.75), 21st I the 3M (307.90) and 15th on the platform. At the NCAA Zone C Championships, he was 21st in the 1M (301.85), 25th in the 3M (302.30) and 22nd on the platform (278.05). At the ACC Championships, he was 27th in the 1M (258.75), 23rd in the 3M (299.60) and 15th on the platform. Against Indiana, he was fifth on both the1M (321.23) and 3M (373.20). Against Kentucky, he placed second in the 1M (329.48) and fifth in the 3M (324.90). At USA Winter Nationals, he placed second in the synchronized platform (508.59). At the Ohio State Invitational, he placed third in the 3M (341.25). Against Tennessee, he was second in the 3M (322.88) and fourth in the 1M (315.15). He was fifth in the 1M at Purdue and won the 3M against Xavier.Prep: Preas comes to the Cardinals from Dallas, Texas. He dove for GC Diving with coach Justin Ruszkowski and stacked up an impressive club diving career. In 2023, he qualified for semi-finals at the USA Diving Junior National Championship in both the 1m and 3m events. Preas made the quarterfinals in those same events (1m and 3m) at the 2022 USA Diving Junior National Championship. He wrapped up his AAU season at the 2024 DMD Classic, placing second in the 1m event and fourth in the 3m event.
