2025-26: At the NCAA Championships, Charlie earned First Team All-American honors in the 200 Free Relay and was a Second Team All-American in the 200 Medley Relay. He was a part of the 200 medley relay team that finished 11th with a time of 1:22.22 with his back split of 20.81. He was the second leg (18.76) in the 200 free relay that finished in 1:14.94. At the ACC Championships, Charlie scored 26.5 points. He was on the bronze medal 200 medley relay team (1:22.40) and the bronze medal 200 free relay (1:14.91). He was 10th in the 50 free (19.01) and 19th in the 100 fly. He was 21 in the 100 back (46.39). During the Dual Meet Season: Against Xavier, he won the 100 backstroke with a time of 49.47. Crush also placed first as part of the 400 freestyle relay with a split of 45.92 before competing in the 200 medley relay, finishing with a 25.43 split and placing second. During the Notre Dame meet, Crush had an 18.84 split while placing second in the 200 medley relay and competed in the 50 freestyle, placing third with a time of 19.57. Against Missouri, he swam in the 200 medley relay, placing third with his team and putting up a split of 18.96. He was third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.63. In his event against Cincinnati, the 200 freestyle relay, he won with a split of 19.07. At the Texas Showdown, he was 10th in the 100 breast (53.70) and was on the fifth place 200 Medley Relay (1:25.04) with his leadoff leg of 21.22 as well as being on the sixth place 400 Free Relay (2:57.69) with his split of 44.29.
2024-25: Charlie swam the 200 free relay at the NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Washington with a time of 1:15.74. During the dual meet season, he began the year with a win the 100 back (49.40) against Xavier and was ninth in the 200 back (1:47.31) and 10th in the 50 free (20.07) at the SMU Classic. At the meet with Tennessee, he was third in the 100 back (47.08) and won the 50 free against Purdue (19.78). At the Ohio State Invitational, he was 13th in the 100 fly (46.88) and was third at Missouri in the 50 free (20.04). In the rivalry meet with Kentucky, he was fourth in the 100 back (48.02) and was third versus Indiana in the 50 free (19.81). At the Last Chance Meet, he won the 50 back (21.55) and the 50 free (19.31).2023-24: Charlie qualified for the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis and swam in the 11th place 400 medley relay team (3:03.26). At the ACC Championships in Greensboro, Charlie finished 22nd in the 50 free (19.74) and 34th in the 100 fly (47.52) and 18th in the 100 backstroke (46.49). He was a part of the fifth place 200 medley relay and the seventh place 200 free relay. During the dual meet season, he was third in the 100 back against Xavier and was on the winning 400 free relay team. Against Auburn, he was second in both the 100 fly (48.02) and the 200 IM (1:49.86) and was on the winning 200 medley relay team. Against Notre Dame, he was second in the 50 free (20.37) and was on the third-place 400 free relay and fourth place 200 medley relay team. In the meet with Missouri, he won the 50 free (20.01) and was on the winning 200 medley relay team and the third-place 400 free relay. Against rival Kentucky, he was second in the 200 backstroke (47.44) and fifth in the 100 fly (48.08) and was on the winning 200 medley relay team. The double dual meet with Indiana and Wisconsin saw him place second in the 100 fly, third in the 100 back and placing second as part of the 200 medley relay teams. In the final dual meet of the season, Charlie helped the Cards beat Cincinnati by placing second in both the 50 free and the 100 fly as well as being on the winning 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay.
2022-23: Charlie Crush shouldered a lot of the backstroke responsibility in his first year as a Cardinal as well as joining the sprint group. He went to the NCAAs as a relay alternate. At ACCs, he won bronze as part of the 200 Medley Relay team that put up a 1:23.59 with his split clocking in a 21.65. He went 1:48.88 in the 200 IM to finish 35th and put up a 47.13 in the 100 freestyle to finish 26th. He made the C-final of the 100 back where he finished second in the heat with a 46.54. He won another bronze medal as part of the 400 Medley Relay team that went 3:03.37 with his leadoff leg of 46.79. During the dual meet season, he won the 200 IM against Cincinnati. At Tennessee, he was fifth in the 100 back and seventh in the 200 back. He won the 200 IM at Notre Dame and was fourth in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 backstroke. At the Purdue Invitational, he was third in the 100 fly (47.01), and was fifth in both the 100 back and the 100 fly at Missouri. Against rival Kentucky, Crush was second in the 100 back and fifth in the 200 IM while helping the Cards to a win in the 200 Medley Relay. Against Indiana, he touched fourth in the 100 back and seventh in the 200 back.
Prep: Louisville native, Charlie Crush, suits up for the Cardinals after a stellar career with the Lakeside Swim Team. He finished his club season ranked 3rd in Kentucky Swimming USA Club (15-18) division. At the 2022 NCSA Summer Swimming Championships, Crush had four top-6 finishes: 3rd in the 100 backstroke, 5th in the 50 backstroke, 5th in the 50 freestyle, and 6th in the 100 butterfly. Crush finished his high school career ranked second in Kentucky. Crush was a two-time state champion his senior year of high school winning both the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly. He also won the state in the 100 backstroke his junior year and placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly. Crush, a 2020 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America, holds best times of 23.69 in the 50 freestyle, 47.10 in the 100 backstroke, and 46.82 in the 100 butterfly.
