2025-26: Nikita earned two All-American honors at the NCAA Championships. He was on the 200 medley relay team that finished 11th in 1:22.22 with his anchor of 18.06. He was on the 20th-place 800 free relay squad that finished 20th in 6:15.03 with his anchor of 1:36.23. He earned All-American honors in the 200 free relay with his leadoff leg of 18.74 as the Cards posted a 1:14.94. He was an All-American in the 50 free with a seventh-place finish with a time of 18.65. He anchored the 400 medley relay squad that was 15th with a time of 3:02. 83 with his split of 40.92. He was 12th in the 100 free with a time of 41.41 and was on the 15th-place 400 free relay team with a leadoff leg of 42.25 as the Cards boarded a 2:48.04. Nikita scored 52.5 points at the ACC Championships in Atlanta. He was on the bronze medal 200 medley relay squad, splitting 18.45 as the anchor. He led off the 400 free relay with a split of 41.86 as the Cardinals went 2:48.20. During the Dual Meet Season: Nikita Sheremet placed first in all his events against Xavier. The first being the 50 freestyle with a 19.83 time. Next, he placed first in the 100 freestyle with a 44.06 time. Sheremet swam a 44.09 split in the 400 freestyle relay. Finally, he placed first in the 200 medley relay with a split of 19.59. At the SMU Classic, he competed in the 50 freestyle where he came in second place in the championship heat with a 19.28 time and also swam in the 800 freestyle relay, where his team finished fourth and posted his split of 1:35.43. Nikita then competed with his team in the 200 medley relay, where they finished second, with his split being 18.92. After that he swam in the 100 freestyle consolation heat, where he finished first with a time of 43.17. Finally, he swam in the 200 freestyle relay, finishing third with his team and earning an individual split of 19.65. In the Notre Dame meet, Sheremet placed first in the 200 medley relay with an 18.86 split. He also placed first in the 50 freestyle with a 19.28 time. He finished the day with a first place in the 400 freestyle relay and had a split of 42.93. Nikita swam against Missouri in the 200 medley relay, placing first with his team with an 18.43 split. Next, he competed in the 50 freestyle where he finished second with a time of 19.25. After that he swam in the 100 freestyle and finished first in exhibition with a time of 44.28. Against Cincinnati, Sheremet finished second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.16. He then qualified for the NCAA 100 freestyle with a winning time of 42.46. Prep: Nikita comes to the Ville from Warszawa,Poland where he swam for G-8 Bielany Warszawa although he grew up in Odessa, Ukraine. Nikita competed in the 2025 World Junior Swimming Championships in Otopeni, Romania where he won the 50M free (21.75) to tie the meet record and rank himself as the third-fastest Ukrainian swimmer of all time. He also finished 30th in the 100M freestyle, going 50.52. At the European Junior Championships, where he has competed in both 2024 and 2025. In 2024, he touched 5th in the 50 free (22.55) and 35th in the 100 free (51.64). In June of 2025, he took silver in the 50 free (22.16) and secured 25th in the 100 free (50.44). He also competed at the European U23 Championships this year and won silver in the 50 free (22.17). At the Polish Open and Youth Championships, in Lublin, Poland, he was seventh in the 50M Free (23.05) and 15th in the 100M free (51.31). In the 2024 Polish Youth Championships, he was fourth in both the 100 free (48.23) and the 50 free (21.85).
