2025-26: At the NCAA Championships, Gorbenko swam the second leg of the 200-medley relay that tied for silver and earned First Team All-American honors with a 25.44 split to help the team post a 1:32.35. She also helped the 400-yard freestyle relay earn First Team All-American honors in seventh with a 46.98 split and overall time of 3:08.28. Gorbenko also helped the 400-yard medley relay claim First Team All-American honors in eighth with a 56.63 split and overall time of 3:25.58. She wrapped up relay action in the 800-yard freestyle relay to take home Honorable Mention All-American honors in 10th with a 1:42.18 split and overall time of 6:56.76. Individually, Gorbenko tied for the bronze medal and secured First Team All-American honors in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:05.24. She also took fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.56) and 200-yard IM (1:52.98), earning First Team All-American honors in both. At the ACC Championships, Gorbenko swam the second leg of the gold medal 200-yard medley relay in a 22.41 split to help the team earn All-ACC honors with a 1:32.26. She also anchored the silver medal 400-yard freestyle relay with a 47.52 split to help the team take home All-ACC honors with a 3:08.14. She swam the second leg of the bronze medal 400-yard medley relay in a 51.07 split to help the squad secure All-ACC honors with a 3:25.16. Gorbenko wrapped up relays in the 800-yard freestyle relay, swimming second in a 1:41.61 split to help the team take fourth in 6:54.74. Individually, Gorbenko earned the silver medal and All-ACC honors in the 200-yard IM with a 1:51.30, the 100-yard breaststroke with a 57.03. She took home the bronze and All-ACC honors in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:05.02. Gorbenko was also named ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week in back-to-back weeks on the weeks of Jan. 27 and Feb. 3. She was also named to the All-ACC Academic team. During the Dual Meet Season: Against Missouri, she competed in the 200-yard medley relay, where she helped her team finish first in exhibition with an overall time of 1:39.89, where she swam a split of 21.85. She also competed in the 400-yard freestyle relay, where she helped her team secure a third-place finish with an overall time of 3:17.09 and swam a split of 47.66. At the Texas Showdown, she placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.45), 100-yard IM (52.42), 100-yard breaststroke (57.67), and 200-yard IM (1:53.53). She also helped the 200-yard medley relay (25.75 split, 1:33.49 overall), 400-yard freestyle relay (47.00 split, 3:10.21 overall), and 400-yard medley relay (56.60 split, 3:27.40 overall) take first place. During the meet against the University of Cincinnati, Gorbenko finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:52.53. Later, she swam the 200-yard freestyle relay, placing second, with a 22.03 split.
Prep: As a member of the Israeli National team, Anastasia has won eight World and European championships and competed in two Olympic finals. In all, she holds 14 Israeli national swim records. She won a silver medal at the 2024 Doha World Championships in the 400M IM and competed in the 100M backstroke, 200M backstroke, 200M IM, 400M IM, the 4x200M free relay and the 4x100M mixed medley relay in Paris. In the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020, she qualified in five different events. She competes for Maccabi Kiryat Bialik Swim Club for Coach Pavel Passin. In 2021, she won gold in the 200 IM at the European Championships and won gold in the 200IM. That same year, at the 2021 World Championships (SC) in Abu Dhabi, Gorbenko won two individual gold medals: The first gold medal in the 50m breaststroke in 29.34, and the second gold medal in the 100m individual medley in 57.80. In 2022 at the Swedish Open, she won the gold medal with a national record of 2:10.43 in the 200m medley ahead of Hungarian 2016 Olympic champion Katinka Hosszu. Also in 2022 at the Mare Nostrum Tour in Barcelona, Spain, she won the gold medal in the women's 200m IM, with a time of 2:10.65. In July of 2022 at the 2022 Maccabiah Games in Israel, she won a gold medal in the women's 200 IM, with a time of 2:20.17. In August of 2022, she won the gold medal at the European Swimming Championships in Rome, Italy, in the 200m individual medley in 2:10.92. At the May 2023 Mare Nostrum Monaco, she broke her own national record in the 200m IM with a time of 2:09:28. She also won a silver medal as she broke her own 400m IM Israeli record, swimming a 4:40.76. In December of 2023 at the U.S. Open Swimming Championships, she won a silver medal in the women's 400m individual medley with a time of 4:37.90, in Greensboro. In February of 2024, Gorbenko won a silver medal at the Doha World Championships in Qatar in the women's 400m individual medley in a new Israeli record time of 4:37:36. n June 2024, at 20 years old, at the 2024 European Aquatics Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, she won the 200m individual medley for the third Europeans in a row, the 400m IM gold medal, a women's 4×200 freestyle relay gold medal and another gold medal in the 4×100 medley with fellow Cardinal Daria Golovaty along with Ayla Spitz, and Lea Polonsky. At the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, she was fourth in the 200M IM (2:09.68) and sixth in the 50M breast (30.30) and 10th in the 50M back (27.65). At the Mare Nostrum in Barcelona in 2025, she won both the 200M IM (2:09.85) and the 100M back (59.25 and was second in the 100M breaststroke (1:06.93).
