2025-26: At the NCAA Championships, Finnley earned Second Team All-American Honors in the 200 Medley Relay. He was on the 11th place 200 medley relay team (1:22.22), swimming his breast split in 23.30) at the NCAA Championships. At the ACC Championships, Finnley scored 25 points. He was on the 200 medley relay team that won bronze (1:22.40) and was 17th in the 100 breast and 11th in the 200 breast. During the Dual Meet Season: When he swam against Xavier, Finnley swam a 54.85 in the 100 breaststroke, placing first against Xavier. He participated in the 200 breaststroke, placing first, with a time of 2:01.01 and was on the winning the 200 medley relay with a split of 24.44. At the SMU Classic in Dallas, Finnley swam in the 400 medley relay, where his team finished first and he earned a split of 52.10. Next, he won the 100 breaststroke in the championship heat with a time of 52.67. Finnley was on the 200 medley relay, where he finished second, with his split of 23.86. Next, he won the consolation heat in the 200 breaststroke consolation with a time 1:57.78. In the meet against Notre Dame, he placed first in the 200 medley relay with a 23.73 split. He also swam the 100 breaststroke, placing second with a time of 53.30. Against Missouri, he swam in the 200 medley relay, placing third with his team and earning a split of 23.91. He competed in the 200 breaststroke, finishing second with a time of 1:57.02. Against Cincinnati, Finnley won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 53.39 and then won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:55.88. At the Texas Showdown, he was third in the 100 breast (52.74) and was on the second-place 200 medley relay, swimming the breast split in 24.00.
Prep: Conklin competed Madison Aquatic Club but swam unattached last year. He swam at Futures in Madison where he went a personal best 28.35 in the 50 breast to finish fourth and swam a season best 1:02.54 in the 100 breast for third. He also was 30th in the 200 breast. In 2024, he was an Olympic Trials qualifier in the 100M breaststroke where he went 1:24.5. Conklin earned an Olympic trials qualifying berth after he swam a 100 breaststroke (1:01.97) time trial in the Summer Junior Nationals and in Irvine, California. He set personal-best times in the 100 freestyle, 100 breast, 200 breast at nationals. Conklin finished 18th in the 100 breast and 19th in the 200 breast (2:17.29). In 2024, he won one gold and four silver medals in the Wisconsin Short Course Senior Championships at the Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer. Conklin won a gold medal in the 100 breaststroke (54.51). He won silver medals in the 50 breaststroke (25.11), 200 breaststroke (1:59.92), 100 IM (51.51) and 200 IM (1:53.21). He took third place in the 100 breaststroke in the Speedo Nationals in 2024, in Iowa City, Iowa. He posted best times at Winter Juniors West in December of 2023. He swam to third in the 100 breast in a best time 53.54. He also was 12th in the 200 breast in a 1:57.99 and 50th in the 50 free in a 20.69.
