2025-26: At the NCAA Championships, Golovaty swam the first leg of the 800-yard freestyle relay in a 1:43.40 split to help the team earn Honorable Mention All-American honors in 10th place with a 6:56.76. She also placed 25th in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:44.01. Golovaty closed competition taking 30th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:42.34) and tied for 34th in the 100-yard freestyle (48.36). At the ACC Championships, Golovaty swam the first leg with a 1:43.73 split to help the 800-yard freestyle relay team take fourth with a 6:54.74. Individually, she took eighth in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:39.91. She also won the 200-yard freestyle B-final with a 1:43.93. She finished action with a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle C-final with a 48.14. She was also named to the All-ACC Academic team. During the Dual Meet Season: Against Xavier she competed in the 200-yard medley relay, with her team finishing first and earning a split of 23.00. She then competed in the 200-yard freestyle, where she placed first with a time of 1:49.87. Afterwards, she competed in the 200-yard IM, finishing fifth fastest in exhibition with a time of 2:06.98. In Dallas at the SMU Classic, she competed in the 200-yard freestyle and finished first in the championship heat with a time of 1:44.81. After that she competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay, where her team finished first and earned a split of 1:45.01. She then set her sights on the championship heat of the 500-yard freestyle, finishing first with a time of 4:44.89. After that she competed in the consolation heat of the 200-yard butterfly, where she finished second with a time of (2:02.34). In the meet versus Notre Dame, Golovaty finished first in the 200-yard freestyle. At the Ohio State Invite, she placed third in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:43.52, and fifth in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:40.98. She also led off the second-place 800-yard freestyle relay team with a 1:44.71 split and a overall time of 7:04.74. In the meet against Missouri, she swam in the 200-yard freestyle, where she finished second with a time of 1:47.24 and swam the fastest split at 24.48. She then competed in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming with a time of 49.67 to finish in third place. Later, she swam in the 400-yard freestyle relay, helping her team finish third with an overall time of 3:17.09 where she recorded a split of 49.91. At the Texas Showdown, she finished fifth in both the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.96) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.99). Against the University of Cincinnati, Golovaty placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a 23.30 split. She also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.18. Finally, she swam exhibition in the 200-yard freestyle relay and had a split of 22.39.
2024-25: Daria Golovaty, a freshman swimmer for the University of Louisville, had a notable performance at the 2025 ACC Championships held in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she scored 58 points. She placed 7th in the final of the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.34 and 9th in the final of the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:39.25. She was 12th in the 1650 free with a time of 16:21.95 and was a part of the fifth place 800 free relay squad that turned in time of 7:01.66. At the 2025 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington (March 20-22), Golovaty finished 16th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.18 and 44th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:43.73. She earned honorable mention All-American honors as part of the 12th place 800 freestyle relay squad.
During the 2024-2025 season, in the dual meet against Kentucky she secured first place in both the 200 freestyle (1:45.45) and the 500 freestyle (4:45.05) and was on the second-place 400 free relay team that went 3:19.12. In a home meet against Tennessee on October 24, 2024, she set a pool record in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:38.80 and also won the 500 freestyle in 4:38.79. At the Ohio State Invitational, she was third in both the 500 free finals (4:39.1), the 200 free (1:43.99) as well as being on the third place 800 free relay squad that stopped the clock in 7:03.43.Prep: Golovaty comes to Louisville all the way from Bat Yam, Israel where she swam for the Hapoel Bat Yam Club under coach Meir Loya. She won the 200m free and 400yd free at the 2023 Israeli Championships. Golovaty continued her 200m free improvement by placing 6th at 2023 World Aquatic Junior Championships and placing 5th at the 2024 European Aquatics Championships. When Golovaty competed in the European Junior Championships in 2021, she earned 5th place in the 100m free.
