2024-25: Amelia Bodenstab made an impact for the Louisville Cardinals during the 2024-25 season. As a freshman, Bodenstab, who comes to Louisville from Texas, contributed in freestyle events. Amelia qualified for the ACC Championships in Greensboro and scored 40 points for the Cardinals. There she was seventh in the 500 freestyle with a (4:42.52) and 10^th in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.33. She also competed in the 200 fly where she finished 29^th with a time of 1:59.37. Bodenstab continued her season at the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington, where she placed 13th overall in the 200 freestyle, finishing fifth in the consolation final with a time of 1:43.93. Bodenstab also recorded top five finishes in dual meets during the season, and in a meet against Kentucky, Bodenstab placed third in the 200 free.

Prep: Bodenstab comes to the Cardinals from Austin, Texas, where she swam with Longhorn Aquatics Club under coach Mike Laitala. It was in Austin where she made the finals of five events (400m Free, 200m Free, 100m Free, 100m Back, and 100m Fly) at the 2024 USA Swimming Futures Championship. Bodenstab also took fifth place in the 500yd Free at the Speedo Winter West Championships in 2023. She brings a mix of both mid and long distance freestyle to the Cards as she also placed ninth in the 200yd Free at the 2022 Speedo Winter West Championships.
