LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 12/3 University of Louisville men's and women's swimming teams split with No. 17/NR Notre Dame in an Atlantic Coast Conference faceoff Friday evening in the Ralph Wright Natatorium.

The No. 3-ranked Louisville women won 218-82 and the No. 17 Notre Dame men beat the No. 12 Cards 162-138.

The women's highlights included multiple event winners in Gabi Albiero (200 fly, 100 fly, 200 Medley Relay), Lucy Mehraban (200 free, 100 free, 400 Free Relay), Kim Herkle (100 breast, 200 breast and 200 Individual Medley) and Christiana Regenauer (200 Medley Relay, 50 free, 400 Free Relay). Lindsay Gizzi swept both boards.Â

The men were led by Denis Petrashov, who won the 100 breast, 200 breast and the 200 Medley Relay. Ilia Sibirtsev swept the distance events and Dalton Lowe won the 100 fly, and both relays.

The Louisville women made a late move in the 200 Medley Relay capped by a strong anchor leg gave the Cards the win in 1:40.47 put up by Abby Hay (26.05), Ella Welch (28.33), Christiana Regenauer (23.80) and Gabi Albiero (22.29). The Louisville men surged late in the final leg for the win, putting up a 1:26.49 posted by Yassin Hossam (22.20), Denis Petrashov (24.11), Dalton Lowe (20.40) and Caleb Duncan (19.79).Â

In the 1000 freestyle, Paige Kuwata cruised in for the win, turning in a time of 10:06.86 just ahead of teammate Summer Cardwell's second place time of 10:09.28 as the Cards took the top two spots. Louisville's Ilia Sibirtsev won the men's race with a pool record time of 8:56.19, the only swimmer to go under nine minutes. Louisville's Tyler Watson was second with a time of 9:16.11 and John Bossler was fifth with a 9:33.38.

Louisville's Lucy Mehraban and Paige Hetrick took the top two spots in the 200 freestyle with Mehraban clocking in a 1:48.95 and Hetrick going 1:49.45. Â The men's race was won by Notre Dame's Chris Guiliano, who went 1:37.05. Â Matias Santiso was the top Cardinal, touching third in 1:38.60. Or Tal was seventh in 1:42.74.

In the women's 100 backstroke, ND's Madelyn Christman and Jess Geriane took the top two spots with Abby Hay of the Cardinals touching third in 55.84. Rye Ulett was fourth in 55.85. The Irish took the top three spots in the men's race with Louisville's Dalton Lowe posting a fourth place time of 47.57 just ahead of teammate Jackson Millard's 48.79.

The Cardinals made it a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100 breaststroke when Kim Herkle put up the winning time of 1:02.44. Ella Welch touched second in 1:02.60 and Cecilia Viberg was third in 1:03.83. For the men's 100 breast, Denis Petrashov put up a B-cut time of 53.51 for the win. Aidan Kreiley came in fourth to score for the Cards, boarding a 56.44.

Gabi Albiero won the 200 butterfly with a 2:00.01, almost three seconds ahead of the field. UofL's Madie Hall was third in 2:03.33 and Jordan Durocher scored with a fifth-place time of 2:04.83. Gustavo Saldo won the 200 butterfly when he stopped the clock at 1:46.13. Tommy Bried was third for the Cardinals with a time of 1:47.84.

In the 50 freestyle, Christiana Regenauer put up the winning time of 23.08 with Karoline Barrett touching second (23.29) and Bianca Costea was third in 23.64 for the top three sweep. Notre Dame won the 50 free with Louisville's Charlie Crush touching second in 20.37 and Vlad Dubinin touching in 20.51.

 In men's 3M diving, ND's Ben Nguyen had the highest mark with a 370.73. UofL's Adam Sneden was second with a 365. 63 with teammate Che Stephens finishing fifth with 332.18. On the 1M springboard, ND's Carlos Lopez Hernandez put up the winning score of 436.95, just .75 of a point ahead of Louisville's Adam Sneden's 346.20. Che Stephens was third with a 329.40.

In women's 1M diving, UofL's  Lindsay Gizzi won with a 305.18, with teammate Else Praasterink scoring second with a mark of 285.53. Samm Helmboldt scored with a mark of 261.23 for the Cards. In women's 3M springboard, Lindsay Gizzi made it a sweep with a 320.55 winning mark. Else Praasterink was third, posting a mark of 301.20 and Samm Helmboldt was third in 286.80 for her Zone Cut.

In the 200 backstroke, Louisville's Paige Hetrick put up B-cut time of 1:56.74 for the win. Jordan Durocher was fourth in 2:02.90 just .2 out of third. The Notre Dame men swept the top three spots in the 200Â back with Jackson Millard touching fourth in 1:46.09 as the top Cardinal.

In the 100 freestyle, freshman Lucy Mehraban led the Louisville sweep with a 48.74, followed by Julia Dennis, who went 51.15 and Bianca Costea completing the sweep with the third-place time of 51.42. Notre Dame's Chris Guiliano won the men's 100 free with a B-cut time of 43.10. Matias Santiso turned in a time of  44.39 to touch third, just ahead of teammate Vlad Dubinin's 45.10.

Maddie Luther also scored for the Cardinals with a time of 5:01.26. Ilia Sibirtsev made it a distance sweep for the men with a B-cut time of 4:21.44 with Gustavo Saldo touching second for the Cards with a time of 4:30.08 and Tyler Watson was third for UofL with a 4:31.09.

Â In the men's 200 IM, ND's Tanner Filion was first into the wall with a time of 1:47.94. Jackson Millard was fifth 1:51.27 and Aidan Paro was sixth in 1:51.
