2023-24: Christiana had an outstanding final year as a Cardinal. At the NCAA Championships in Athens, she finished fourth in the 50 free with a 21.48 and was 9th in the 100 fly (51.05). She touched sixth in the 100 free (47.20). A stalwart relay swimmer, she swam in four of the Cards’ relays. She helped the 200 free relay to a national runners up with a time of 1:25.47, the 400 free relay team touch third with a time of 3:09.08 and the 400 Medley Relay finish ninth with a time of (3:29.11) as well as the 200 medley relay’s 11th place touch (1:35.45). This earned her four first team All-American honors and three second team and a total of 37 points. At the ACC Championships in Greensboro, she scored 76 points. On relays, she helped the 200 Medley Relay team to a fourth place (1:35.37) and won silver in the 200 free relay (1:25.39). She was on the bronze medal 400 Medley Relay team (3:30.28) and won silver on the 400 Free Relay team (3:10.18). During the dual meet season, she was second in the 50 free versus Xavier (22.91). At the highly competitive SMU Classic, she helped the Cardinals win the 200 Free Relay (1:29.12) and a second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay (1:37.29). She also was seventh in both the 100 fly (52.52) and the 50 free (22.33). Against rival Notre Dame, she won the 50 free (23.08) and was part of both the winning 200 medley relay team (1:40.47) and the 400 free relay team (3.21.77).
2022-23: Christiana had a record breaking year as a senior. At NCAAs, she scored 27.5 points. She was on the All-American 200 medley relay team (1:34.37 (22.77) that finished fifth. She earned All-American honors with a 7th place finish in the 50 freestyle (21.68) as well as a seventh place in the 100 freestyle. More All-American honors came in the 400 Free Relay, where the Cardinals finished third with a time of 3:09.57 (her split 47.24) and again in the 400 medley relay, touching eighth in 3:28.58. She earned HM All-American honors in the 100 fly with a 13th place time of 51.26. At the ACC Championships, she scored 76 points. She helped the Cardinals win bronze in the 200 Medley Relay (setting a school record o 1:34.23 with her fly split of 22.56. She won silver in the 200 Free Relay and set a school record with a 1:24.29 with her split of 21.03. She won bronze in the 50 freestyle and was sixth in the 100 butterfly. She touched fifth in the 100 free. She helped set the school record in the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:08.92 at ACCs, beating the old record by more than two seconds. During the regular dual meet season, she had individual wins in the 50 free against Cincinnati and Notre Dame and won the 100 fly versus Indiana. . She helped win four relays at the Purdue Invitational.
2021-22: Christiana Regenauer continues to be a stalwart on the sprint crew for the Cardinals. At the ACC Championships, she scored 52 points for UofL. She was a part of the bronze medal winning 200 free relay team, splitting 21.59, the fastest of the Cardinal foursome. She touched 10th in the 50 free (22.24) and was 8th in the 100 free (48.60). She placed 14thin the 100 fly with a time of 52.76. As a part of the 200 medley relay, she swam the butterfly leg with a 23.28 to finish fifth and then ended the meet with a bronze medal win in the 400 free relay, splitting 48.01. She qualified for NCAAs and finished 27th in the 50 free (22.15), 28th in the 100 free (48.45) was 39th in the 100 fly with a time of 52.68. During the dual season, she was second in the 100 free at the SMU Classic with a time of 49.04 and was part of the second place 400 medley relay (48.57 anchor split) and the third place 200 free relay with a split of (22.44). At Tennessee, she was third in both the 50 free (22.99) and 100 free (50.03) and helped the 400 free relay team touch second with a split of 49.50. Against Indiana, she helped the Cards win the 200 medley relay with a fly split of 23.25 and was second in both the 50 free (22.39) and 100 free (49.19). At rival Kentucky, she was second in the 50 free with a time of 22.44 and helped the Cards win both the 200 medley relay (23.02 split) and the 400 free relay with a split of 48.52. At the Phillips 66 US National Championships, she made the finals in the 50M free with a time of 25.37 for 11th place. An excellent student, she was named to the ACC Academic Honor and the University of Louisville AD Honor Roll.
2020-21: Regenauer continued to solidify herself as one of the Cardinals’ top sprinters during her second year in The Ville. At the NCAA Championships, she finished 29th in the 50 freestyle (22.40), 36th in the 100 freestyle (49.08), and 42nd in the 100 butterfly (53.38). She also anchored UofL’s 400 medley relay in 47.93 that finished sixth and split 21.77 on the eighth-place 200 freestyle relay. At the ACC Championships, she sprinted to sixth in the 50 freestyle (22.32), 11th in the 100 freestyle (49.27), and 20th in the 100 butterfly (53.33). She split 23.65 on the butterfly leg on UofL’s bronze-medal 200 medley relay and earned another bronze after splitting 22.03 on the 200 freestyle relay. She also anchored the 400 medley relay in 49.11 and split 48.79 on the 400 freestyle relay, both of which also took third. Regenauer posted six top-4 finishes throughout the abbreviated dual meet season. She swept the 50 and 100 freestyle against Cincinnati and added another win in the 100 freestyle against Notre Dame. For her efforts in the classroom, she was named to the ACC All-Academic Team.
2019-20: Regenauer had a breakout first year with the Cardinals, qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 50 freestyle before the meet was cancelled. At the ACC Championships, she placed fifth in the 50 freestyle (22.10), 13th in the 100 butterfly (53.02), and 15th in the 100 freestyle (49.23). She also earned silver medals after splitting 21.88 and 48.19, respectively, on UofL’s 200 and 400 freestyle relays at her first conference meet. Regenauer collected a pair of bronze medals in the 50 freestyle (22.45) and 100 butterfly (53.65) at the Purdue Invitational before going on to final in the 50-meter freestyle at the Toyota U.S. Open. She recorded 11 top-five finishes during the dual meet seasons, including picking up victories against Xavier, Northwestern, and Kentucky. For her performances in both the pool and in the classroom, Regenauer was named to the All-ACC Academic Team and awarded ACC Honor Roll and CSCAA Scholar All-America honors. She was also named to the CSCAA All-American team in the 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay.
Prep: Arriving in Louisville from Campbell Hall, New York, Regenauer attended Albertus Magnus High School and will add valuable sprint depth to the Cardinals’ lineup. She swam year-round with Condors Swim Club for coach Jim Wargo where she was a National-level qualifier and most recently finaled in two events at Phillips 66 Nationals in Stanford, Calif. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American earned a pair of gold medals in the 50m and 100m free at 2018 Junior Nationals and finished eighth in the 100 fly at Juniors East. While representing the USA, she finaled in the 100m free at the 2018 Irish Open. She holds best times of 22.59 in the 50 free, 49.13 in the 100 free, 1:47.34 in the 200 free, and 53.02 in the 100 fly.
