Cardinals Complete Prelims on Day 3 at the Ohio State Fall Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The University of Louisville swimming team has completed prelims on Day 3 at the Ohio State Fall Invitational at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

The Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are racing the nationally ranked Buckeyes. Other schools in attendance will be Indiana, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Ohio University (Diving Only), Cal (Diving Only), and Kenyon (Diving Only).
The meet will be contested over three days with action getting started at 9:30am. Prelims will be conducted in the morning in meters and finals will follow at 5:30 ET in yards.Louisville's Ally Boynton was tenth as the top Card with Jordan Durocher touching 11th in 2:18.56. Rye Ulett was 15th in 2:19.71, In the men's 200M back, Notre Dame's Tommy Janton put up the fastest time (2:00.06). Louisville's Jackson Millard was third (2:02.03). Drew Collins posted a 2:10.38 and Ryan Hogan had a time of 2:10.38.

In the 100M freestyle, OSU's Amy Fulmer snuck in for the win with a 55.14. UofL's Gabi Albiero was second in 55.41 and Lucy Mehraban was third with a 55.43. Christiana Regenauer touched sixth with a 55.93, Julia Dennis was eighth with a 56.35 and Karoline Barrett rounded out the top 10 with a ninth place time of 56.86. Bianca Costea was 11th  with a time of 56.99. Tristen Ulett boarded a 57.26 and Ella Welch turned in a 58.18.

Notre Dame's Chris Guiliano had the fastest time with a 47.98 in the 100M freestyle. UofL's Murilo Sartori was fifth (50.01), Matias Santiso was sixth (50.41), Denis Loktev was seventh (50.43), Yassin Hossam (50.47) and Dalton Lowe rounded out the top ten finishers with a 50.48.

In the 200M breaststroke, Brearna Crawford of IU had the fastest time with a 2:29.09. Louisville's Kim Herkle was second with a time of 2:30.02. Fernanda Celidonio was 17th (2:41.96) and Adry Kasemets went 2:42.42. On the men's side, Max Reich put up the fastest 200M breast with a 2:12.53. Louisville's Denis Petrashov was fifth as the top Card, Aidan Kreiley was 17th in 2:20.20 just ahead of Luke Shourds (2:20.64). Freshman Jordan Kelly put up a 2:24.96.

In the 200M butterfly, IU's Katie Forrester was first with a time of 2:13.12. Abby Hay was the top finishing Cardinal with a fifth-place time of 2:17.14. Madie Hall was 13th (2:21.76) and Summer Cardwell boarded a 2:22.41. In the men's 200M fly, IU's Drew Reiter posted the fastest time in 2:01.49. Tommy Bried was second with a time of 2:02.23. UofL's Gustavo Saldo was fourth with a 2:02.34, Aidan Paro posted a 2:05.21, Mateo Miceli went 2:05.42, and Denis Loktev was 13th in 2:05.74.
