
Cards Send 15 to Finals After Day 4 Prelims

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Fifteen swimmers will advance to the finals after Day 4 preliminaries at the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships Friday morning at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

In the 200 butterfly, Tristen Ulett put up a time of 1:56.29 which earned her a second swim tonight in the B-final+. Amelia Bodenstab turned in a 1:59.37 and Camden Doane went 1:59.40. Six Cardinal men will be swimming in the finals tonight led by Mateo Miceli (1:42.55), Tommy Bried (1:42.67) and Aidan Paro (1:43.00), who will swim the B-final. In the C-final, Gregg Enoch (1:43.07), Thomas Powers-Hammond (1:44.21) and Gustavo Saldo (1:44.27). Denis Loktev posted a time of 1:44.95.

In the women's 100 backstroke, Rye Ulett clocked in at 53.71 in her prelim heat.  Abby Karl posted a 53.62 and Paige Hetrick stopped the clock at 54.79.

Dalton Lowe had the fastest time for the Cardinals in the men's 100 backstroke with 46.17. Rian Graham posted a 46.42 and Filip Kosinski turned in a 46.47 and all three Cards will return to swim in the C-final.

In the 100 breaststroke, Mia Cheatwood will return tonight in the championship final after posting a 59.73, one of just eight swimmers to go under a minute. Caroline Larsen made the B-final with a 1:00.32.

For the men in the 100 breaststroke, Denis Petrashov will be seeded second in the championship final after throwing down a 51.55. Jake Eccleston put up a 52.23 to make the B-final and Luke Shourds will return tonight in the C-final after going 53.04.
Diver Rayce Winn finished 13th on the platform with a 319.50 for the Ville. Teammate Ray Preas scored 312.95 for 15th place and Mack Molloy was 27th with a mark of 250.35.Â
