2025-26: Thomas scored three points at the ACC Championships in Atlanta. He was 24th in the 100 fly (46.44), and was 23rd in the 200 fly (1:44.07). During the Dual Meet Season: TPH swam a 1:51.26 in the 200 butterfly exhibition in the Xavier meet. He also swam 49.47 in the 100 butterfly and in the 400 freestyle relay, he had a 46.45 split. He placed first in the 200 medley relay with a 20.90 split. He competed in the 200 medley relay in exhibition against Notre Dame and had a split of 20.54. and also competed in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:37.33. When swimming the 200 butterfly, he placed fourth with a time of 1:48.13. Against Missouri, his team placed first in exhibition of the 200 medley relay, where he swam a split of 20.66. Next, he finished first in exhibition in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:45.87. Afterwards he competed in the 100 butterfly and finished fourth in exhibition with a time of 48.82. Against Cincinnati, Thomas qualified for the NCAA 200 butterfly with a time of 1:43.72. Then, he swam an exhibition 100 butterfly in 48.86 seconds. At the Texas Showdown, he was 11th in the 100 fly (46.61) and was on the sixth place 400 free relay squad that clocked in at 2:57.69 aided by his anchor of 44.19.
2024-25: Thomas qualified for the USA Swimming Nationals in Indianapolis where he finished 26th in the 100 M fly (53.64), 35th in the 50 fly (24.81) and 46th in the 200 fly (2:03.81). He qualified for the ACC Championships in Greensboro, where he was 18th in the 100 fly (45.68) and 19th in the 200 fly (1:43.68). Hightlights during the dual meet season include him winning both the 200 fly (1:43.40) and the 100 fly (47.10) versus Cincinnati and was fifth in the 200 fly at Missouri with a tie of 1:46.05. At the Ohio State Invitational, he placed third in the 200 fly, clocking in at 1:43.54.Prep: Thomas Powers-Hammond joins the Cards from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He did his club swimming with Swim Fort Lauderdale and coach Dave Gibson. He brings a combination of both freestyle and butterfly to the table. At the 2024 USA Swimming Futures Championship in Huntsville, Thomas won gold in both the 200m and 100m Butterfly. He also stamped top five finishes in the 200yd Free, 50yd Free and 100yd Fly at the 2024 Florida Gulf Coast Senior Championships. In 2023, Powers-Hammond claimed four gold medal finishes at the New England Senior Championships in the 100yd and 200yd Fly as well as the 50yd and 100yd Free.
