Cardinals Complete Competition at Louisville Last Chance

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville, along with swimmers from Notre Dame and Kentucky, continued to seek qualifying times for next month's NCAA Championships, Saturday evening at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.Â

In the women's 100 butterfly, Sophia Rodriguez turned in a 53.56. In the finals of the men's 100 fly, Aiden Musso put up a 45.02, Aidan Paro was second, posting a 45.23 and Rian Graham was third with a time of 45.27.Â

In the men's 200 breaststroke, Ryder Hicks touched in 1:56.10. In the women's 100 backstroke, Sadie Murphy checked in a 55.61. Â

In the finals of the 200 freestyle, Matias Santiso went 1:34.64 for the win and Thomas Powers-Hammond was second in 1:35.10.Â

In the finals of the 100 butterfly, Sophia Rodriguez posted the winning time of 53.56 and Kaitlyn Sallows was second in 55.49. In the men's 100 fly finals, Aiden Musso was into the wall first with a 45.02, followed by Aidan Paro (45.23), Rian Graham (45.27) and Bryan Lombardi (46.71).Â

In the finals of the 50 free, Karoline Barrett touched in 22.52 in the finals.  In the men's 50 free finals, Charlie Crush turned in an 18.99 for the win, followed by Ethan Chauliaguet's 19.74, and UK's Justin Peresse's 20.05 and UofL's Rob Ehrenborg's 20.12.Â

In 3-meter diving, UK's Kristy Pfaff scored a 317.85 for the win, with Audree Brazeau-Howes' 284.48 placing second and Maud Van Kampen scoring a 279.98.  In men's 3-meter, Ray Preas won with a 386.78, followed by Mack Molloy's 372.00, UKL's Tyler Bobadilla's 339.38 and Rayce Winn's 315.08. In platform, Samm Helmboldt posted a score of 269.25 to win and UK's Rock Sweet put up the winning score of 264.75.  In 1-meter diving, UK's Zalika Methula had the highest score with a 272.70 and Wildcat Landon Isler had the winning score of 319.65.Â

In the 400 IM, UK's Fernanda De Goeji turned in a 4:22.55.  In the 200 freestyle, Maya Bezanson turned in a 1:47.99.Â

In the men's 200 freestyle, Matias Santiso hit the wall first with a time of 1:34.63. Thomas Powers-Hammond was second in 1:37.11, Owen Stevens was third (1:48.39) and Nate Thomas posted a 1:49.13.Â
