2025-26: During the Dual Meet Season: Murphy, facing Xavier, she competed in the 200-yard freestyle, where she placed third with a time of 1:54.23. She then competed in the 200-yard backstroke where she placed third with a time of 2:03.59. Afterwards, she competed in the 200-yard IM, finishing second fastest in exhibition with a time of 2:06.24. In their meet against Notre Dame, Murphy helped her team to a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard relay with an overall time of 1:39.86. She then competed in the 100-yard backstroke recording the fifth best time of 55.24. Also, against Notre Dame, she competed in the 400-yard freestyle relay, helping her team to a fourth-place finish and an overall time of 3:22.58. At the Ohio State Invite, she helped the 800-yard freestyle B-relay take 10th with a split of 1:49.40 and overall time of 7:14.77. At the meet against Missouri, she swam in the 200-yard freestyle exhibition, finishing with a time of 1:51.34. Later, she competed in the 200-yard backstroke, where she finished fifth with a time of 2:00.91. She also competed in the 200-yard IM, where she finished first in exhibition with a time of 2:02.12. At the Texas Showdown, she took eighth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.60. During the meet against University of Cincinnati, Murphy finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.53. She also swam in the 200-yard IM, placing second, with a time of 2:03.32. Finally, she swam exhibition in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a split of 23.57.
Prep: Sadie comes to the Ville from River Forest, Illinois, where she swam for Academy Bullets Swim Club and Coach Todd Capen. As a sophomore at OPRF she had a breakout sophomore year that resulted in an eighth place finish in the 200 IM (2:04.70) and a 9th place finish in the 100 back (56.73) at the IHSA High School Girls' State Championship. She additionally led off Oak Park-River’s 200 medley relay in a 27.54, and ultimately led Oak Park-River to a 31st place finish out of 103 teams. Murphy swam at the NCSA Summer Championships (LCM) in July of 2024, where she posted season bests en route to three top 24 finishes. She set a new lifetime bests in the 400 IM (5:03.55) to place 21st, and swam a 2:20.98 in the 200 IM for 19th. Murphy’s highest placing came from her 100 free, where with a 57.85, she placed 12th. Both the 200 IM and 100 free weren’t far off her bests, which sit at 2:19.95 and 57.16, respectively. At the 2025 NCSA Summer Championships, she finished eighth in the 200M IM with a time of 2:21.27. At the Illinois Senior Championships, she finished sixth in the 200 breast (2:20.64) and ninth in the 100 back (56.69).
