Bio
2024-25: Caroline made an immediate impact as a freshman for the Cardinals. She earned HM All-American honors in the 50 free when she finished 13th with a time of 21.78. She was 19th in the 100 free (48.02) and 42nd in the 100 breast (1:00.29). She was on three of the Cards’ relay All-American squads with a third-place finish (1:33.41) with her breaststroke split of 26.28 in the 200 medley relay. The Cards were second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:25.04 with Caroline adding in her leadoff split of 21.80. She helped the 400 free relay squad to a third-place finish with the time of 3:08.71 and her split of 47.43. At the ACC Championships, she made the championship final in the 50 free with a time of 21.63. She was ninth in the 100 breast (59.63) and 14th in the 100 free. She was on the bronze medal 200 medley relay team, swimming the breast leg split in 26.75 as the cards went 1:34.55. She won silver in the 400 free relay, swimming the third leg in 47.58 as the Cards shaved two seconds off their entry time with a 3:08.71 in the finals. She was also on the silver medal 200 free relay with a leadoff split of 21.71 as the Cards went 1:25.52. During the dual meet season, She had a second place in the 100 breast (1:00.57) versus Cincinnati and was fourth in both the 50 free (22.33) and the 100 fly (53.19) versus Indiana. Against rival Kentucky, she was second in the 100 free (48.75) and third in the 50 free (22.32). She was third in the 100 breast at Missouri (1:00.88) and fourth in the 100 fly (52.82). At the TYR Pro Series at Ft. Lauderdale, her best finish was a seventh place in the 50 M breast.
Prep: Larsen joins the Cardinals from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She did her club swimming for the FoxJets Swim Team under head coach and father, Lloyd Larsen. She was the champion of the 100m Fly at the 2024 Speedo Summer Championships. Larsen competed in the 2023 Speedo Winter West Championships where she earned gold in the 50 Y Free, as well as podium finishes in the 100 Y Breast and 100 Y Fly. She also won gold in both the 100m Fly and 50m Fly, as well as silver in 100m Free at the 2024 NCSA Spring Championships. Her club swimming career resulted in Minnesota state records in multiple events (50yd Free, 50yd Breast, 100m Free, and 50m Fly).
Personal: She is the daughter of Lloyd and Cari Larsen. She was born May. 11, 2006. Her major is Exercise Science.
