Cardinals Send Three Swimmers and a Relay to Friday Finals at NCAA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Louisville will send three swimmers to the finals on Day 3 of competition at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Friday morning at the Bauerle Pool in the Gabrielsen Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia.
In the 200 Freestyle, Paige Hetrick made the consolation final with a time of 1:43.76 to earn a second swim. Lucy Mehraban posted a 1:45.51 in the opening heat and Summer Cardwell boarded a 1:44.94 while Fernanda Celidonio turned in a 1:45.08.
In the 100 butterfly, the Cardinals will send two to the finals. Christiana Regenauer returns to the consols after posting a 51.17 and she will be joined by Gabi Albiero, who went 51.32. Tristen Ulett posted a 51.76 and Karoline Barrett swam a time of 52.66 in her preliminary heat to round out the entries for the Cardinals .
In the 100 breaststroke, Ella Welch checked in at 1:01.03 and Cecilia Viberg posted a time of 1:01.17.
In the 400 IM, Kim Herkle turned in a time of 4:08.94 just narrowly missing the consol final field. Rye Ulett boarded a 4:13.92.
