LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 14/9 University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams will hit the road and travel to South Bend, Indiana, to battle against the University of Notre Dame in the Last Chance Meet.

The meet will be all day March 1-2, at the Rolfs Aquatic Center.

Louisville was last in action Feb. 20-24, when they competed at the 2024 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Cardinals battled in their first taste of postseason play of 2024, with the women finishing second and the men fourth in the competition. The Cardinals effort was highlighted by podium finishes as Ilia Sibirtsev won silver in the men's 1650, Denis Petrashov took home silver in the 200 breaststroke, and the quartet of Lucy Mehraban, Gabi Albiero, Christiana Regenauer, and Julia Dennis earned silver in the 400-freestyle relay, achieving the third fastest time in school history (3:10.18).

Notre Dame will return home after a successful few days at the 2024 ACC Championships, finishing second in men's and eighth in women's competition. The 11th-ranked Fighting Irish men broke 12 school records, recording their highest finish in program history.
