CARDINALS TAKE SERIES FROM NO. 4 FLORIDA STATE
After dropping the series opener, the Cardinals picked up a pair of wins to capture the weekend series with No. 4 Florida State. Louisville stole a program-record 14 bases in a 9-4 win on Saturday before clubbing three first-inning home runs on its way to a 14-2 win in just seven innings on Sunday.
HEADING INTO THE REGULAR SEASON'S FINAL MONTH
Tuesday's game will put a wrap on the month of April for the Cardinals. Louisville is down to 12 games left in the regular season, six at home and six on the road.
EASTERN KENTUCKY SERIES HISTORY
Louisville and Eastern Kentucky will meet for the 125th time on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals are 74-49-1 all-time against the Colonels and 22-2 during Dan McDonnell's tenure. The two teams have met in all but four seasons dating back to 1980.

CARDINALS TURN IN RECORD DAY ON BASEPATHS AGAINST FLORIDA STATE
Louisville has been one of the best teams in the country when it comes to stolen bases during Dan McDonnell's tenure. However, the Cards have never had a better day than they did in game two against Florida State.
Louisville set a program record with 14 stolen bases in the Saturday victory over Florida State, surpassing the previous record of 10 against Eastern Kentucky in 2013. The 14 stolen bases were the fourth-highest total by a team in Division I this season, while no other Power Four program has reached double figures in a game.
The Cardinals tied the ACC record for stolen bases in a game – Notre Dame against Chicago State in 2019 – and set the ACC record for most in a conference game.

TEAM NOTES
- Louisville has an .817 winning percentage (188-42) in regular season non-conference games since the start of 2016.
- The Cardinals are 101-23 (.815) under Dan McDonnell against teams from the state of Kentucky (Bellarmine, EKU, Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, NKU and WKU).
- The Louisville offense has tallied double digit hits in 25 games this season, going 22-3 in those contests. The Cards notched at least 10 hits 29 times in 2024, posting a 22-7 mark when doing so.
- Louisville has scored 10 runs or more in 19 games this season, including 10 ACC contests.
- The Cardinals are 29-3 this season when outhitting their opponent and 0-9 when losing the hit battle.
- Louisville is 24-6 when hitting a home run this season.
- Louisville is 20-2 when it limits the opposition to five runs or less and 28-4 when its opponent is kept in single digits.
- The Cardinals have 15 come-from-behind wins this season, including five walk-off victories.
PLAYER NOTES
- Lucas Moore has been the ultimate weapon at the top of the lineup for the Cards. Moore leads the Cardinals and the ACC with 66 runs scored, third-most in all of Division I. The speedy outfielder is also pacing the league going 33-for-34 in stolen bases. He also ranks fourth in the ACC in hits and batting average, and seventh in on-base percentage.
- Eddie King Jr. went on the shelf with an injury just four games into the season and missed nearly three weeks. King returned to the starting lineup for the first time in the finale of the North Carolina series, but he has been red hot since returning. The senior is 29-for-71 (.408) in his last 20 games, with 10 doubles, eight home runs, 23 runs scored and 33 RBIs. King led the Cardinals in home runs and RBIs in 2024.
- Jake Schweitzer has become a key cog in the Louisville bullpen in his first season with the Cardinals. Since allowing three runs in his collegiate debut, the Louisville native has surrendered just two earned runs in 20.2 innings (0.87 ERA) across 12 relief appearances. Schweitzer has earned his first three career wins in the last two weeks against No. 20 Western Kentucky, No. 2 Clemson and No. 4 Florida State.
- Jake Munroe has made an immediate impact in the middle of Louisville's lineup. The junior college All-American is fourth in the ACC in runs and triples, seventh in batting average and hits, 11th in on-base percentage and 13th in RBIs. Munroe has a hit in 34 of 43 games this season with 20 multi-hit games.
- Zion Rose has an exception freshman campaign that saw him hit .380 with 19 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs while finishing with more walks than strikeouts. The 2025 season has seen more of the same but with more damage. Rose is hitting .333 and already has 22 extra-base hits and a team-leading 46 RBIs. The increase in production hasn't affected his plate discipline though, as he has 19 walks and four HBPs to just 23 strikeouts.
