Louisville notched an 11-5 win on Tuesday afternoon.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 17^th-ranked University of Louisville baseball team notched an 11-5 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Louisville (31-13) has now won three straight after taking the final two games against No. 4 Florida State over the weekend.

Casen Murphy got the start for the Cards on Tuesday and worked through a downpour to strand the bases loaded in the first. The game was then delayed 41 minutes due to lightning.

Following the delay, the Louisville offense went right to work.

Lucas Moore singled to start the game and scored the first run on Zion Rose's triple, with Rose scoring on a groundout by Jake Munroe.

Eddie King Jr. followed with a double and scored on Tague Davis' single to make it 3-0. With two on and two outs later in the frame, Bayram Hot hooked a ball inside the foul pole in left for a three-run homer to give Louisville a 6-0 edge through one.

Eastern Kentucky (8-37) plated three runs in the second, but the Cardinals answered back with two of their own in the second and another in the third. Rose drove home Moore for the second time in as many innings and Michael Lippe sent a sacrifice fly to right to tack on another. Moore then manufactured a run on the basepaths in the third to score for the third time on the day.

Hot made it a multi-homer day, the first of his career, with a solo shot in the fifth. Munroe then drove home Louisville's 11^th run of the day with a single that scored Moore yet again.

Jack Brown (5-3) earned the victory with a scoreless frame out of the bullpen.

Hot matched a season-high with three hits on the day, including the two homers, and tallied a season-best four RBIs. Moore reached base four times, swiping four bags and scoring four times. It was the second time the sophomore has stolen four bases in the last three games.

Louisville heads on the road next for a three-game series at Notre Dame beginning on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on the ACC Network.
