CARDIAC CARDS WINNING IN DRAMATIC FASHION
The 2025 season is just 11 games old, but this Louisville team has already recorded three walk-off victories after the 9-8 win in 10 innings over Morehead State on Tuesday.
Louisville opened the season with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Texas and also notched an 8-6 walk-off win in the series opener against St. John's. The three walk-off wins have already matched the Cardinals' total from the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined.
Two of Louisville's three last at-bat wins have come with the Cardinals trailing entering the ninth inning. Louisville is 2-2 this season when trailing after eight innings after going 3-76 in the same scenario from 2020-24.

PLAYER NOTES
- Jake Munroe has acclimated himself well to playing at Louisville. The junior college All-American has a hit in 10 of 11 games to start his Louisville career, including a team-best eight multi-hit games. Munroe is currently second in the ACC with a .489 batting average and leads the league in hits per game.

- Tague Davis came to Louisville as a highly touted prospect and has lived up to the billing early. The freshman leads the Cardinals with three homers, and has driven in 12 through 11 games, including his walk-off two-run homer to defeat St. John's in the opening game of the weekend series.
- Patrick Forbes has been dominant in his first three starts of 2025. The right-hander has surrendered just two earned runs over 15 innings, striking out 30 batters to just one walk. Opponents have managed just 12 hits against Forbes, who is currently tied for the ACC lead in strikeouts.

Cutts earned victories last week with 3.2 shutout frames against Western Michigan and two more versus St. John's.
- Wyatt Danilowicz missed all of the 2024 season due to injury, but has been outstanding in his return to the mound. In five relief appearances, the southpaw has allowed just one unearned run over 5.1 innings with 12 strikeouts.
