WRAPPING UP THE REGULAR SEASON AT HOME
Louisville will close out the 2025 regular season with four home games this week. The Cardinals have been excellent on their home turf this spring, sporting a 26-4 overall record at Jim Patterson Stadium.
BELLARMINE SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the 77th all-time meeting between Louisville and Bellarmine, with the Cardinals leading the series 47-29. After not playing for nearly 30 years, the two teams resumed their series in 2021 when the Knights became a Division I program. Louisville has won all seven meetings since that time.

PLAYER NOTES
CARDS GO BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2008 IN RECORD INNING IN ATLANTA
Louisville had a second inning to remember in the opening game of the series at Georgia Tech. The Cardinals sent 19 men to the plate in the inning, 14 of which reached consecutively, and scored 13 runs on their way to a 16-2 win.
The 13 runs matched a Louisville record for a single inning, equaling the total the Cardinals scored in the opening frame against Western Kentucky on April 23, 2024.
During the outburst, Zion Rose, Jake Munroe and Eddie King Jr. hit back-to-back-to-back home runs. It was a feat the Cardinals had not accomplished since Justin McClanahan, Chris Dominguez and Andrew Clark did so at Ohio State on April 16, 2008.

TEAM NOTES
- Louisville has an .819 winning percentage (190-42) in regular season non-conference games since the start of 2016.
- The Cardinals are 102-23 (.816) under Dan McDonnell against teams from the state of Kentucky (Bellarmine, EKU, Kentucky, Morehead State, Murray State, NKU and WKU).
- The Louisville offense has tallied double digit hits in 28 games this season, going 25-3 in those contests. The Cards notched at least 10 hits 29 times in 2024, posting a 22-7 mark when doing so.
- Louisville has scored 10 runs or more in 21 games this season, including 11 ACC contests.
- The Cardinals are 32-4 this season when outhitting their opponent and 0-12 when losing the hit battle.
- Louisville is 27-8 when hitting a home run this season.
- Louisville is 24-3 when it limits the opposition to five runs or less and 32-7 when its opponent is kept in single digits.
- The Cards lead the ACC and rank 24th nationally with 43 double plays defensively, including a season-high four in game one at Georgia Tech.
- The Cardinals have 16 come-from-behind wins this season, including five walk-off victories.
PLAYER NOTES
- Lucas Moore has been the ultimate weapon at the top of the lineup for the Cards. Moore leads the Cardinals and the ACC with 73 runs scored, fourth-most in all of Division I. The speedy outfielder is also pacing the league and fourth nationally going 42-for-43 in stolen bases. He also ranks second in the ACC in hits, third in batting average, fourth in triples, and sixth in on-base percentage. Moore's 42 stolen bases currently rank as the third-best single season total in program history. He needs two more to tie Corey Ray's 2016 total for second. His 73 runs scored are the 10th most in program history and the most since three Cardinals had 80 or more in 2009.
- Jake Schweitzer has become a key cog in the Louisville bullpen in his first season with the Cardinals. Since allowing three runs in his collegiate debut, the Louisville native has surrendered just three earned runs in 27.1 innings (0.99 ERA) across 16 relief appearances. Schweitzer has earned his first three career wins in the last month against No. 20 Western Kentucky, No. 2 Clemson and No. 4 Florida State, and a save versus No. 10 Vanderbilt.
- Zion Rose has an exception freshman campaign that saw him hit .380 with 19 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs while finishing with more walks than strikeouts. The 2025 season has seen more of the same but with more damage. Rose is hitting .332 with 27 extra-base hits and a team-leading 54 RBIs. The increase in production hasn't affected his plate discipline though, as he has 25 walks and six HBPs to just 27 strikeouts. Rose has also increased his production on the basepaths, going 26-for-28 in stolen bases.
- Ethan Eberle began the season as a key reliever for the Cards, but has since moved into the weekend rotation. The southpaw has allowed two runs or fewer in three of his last four starts – at Clemson, at Notre Dame and at Georgia Tech.
