
Erynn Floyd Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week

It is the second time in her career she has been named Defensive Player of the Week
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville women's soccer senior goalkeeper Erynn Floyd has been named ACC Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. She was instrumental in the Cards road win over NC State this past Thursday.
Floyd made four saves in the 3-0 road win to give the Cards their 12th win of the season and fifth ACC win. It was her sixth game this season with three or more saves and the ninth shutout of the season. Her nine shutouts lead the ACC and ranks ninth nationally. The Cardinals have 11 shutouts on the season and Floyd has started in all 11 of those games.
Floyd and the Cardinals will be back in action on Thursday for the final game of the regular season before postseason play begins. The Cardinals will host SMU at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium on Thursday, October 30. It will be the annual Pink Game for cancer awareness and the game will begin at 7 p.m. ET and streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
