Dente joins the staff as a program assistant
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville women's soccer head coach Hunter Norton is excited to announce Corinne Dente as a program assistant to the staff. Dente began her collegiate career at Louisville and was most recently the director of operations at Fordham.
"Corinne is a fantastic addition to our staff," said Norton. "She was an excellent player here for us and now will be an excellent coach! As a player Corinne always had a unique intuition and curiosity for the game. She has an amazing energy about her that will be infectious in our program and serve her well in her coaching career. I know she will have a great impact on our team and can't wait for her to get started!"
"It's so special to return to Louisville, a place that shaped me so much as a player," said Dente. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a program that means so much to me."
Dente began her collegiate playing career with the Cards in 2019 and played in all 20 games. The Cards made the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history and advanced to the second round for just the third time in program history. Dente made her first collegiate start against Virginia and scored her first goal against Syracuse.
Dente missed the next two seasons due to injury but returned for her final season with the Cards in 2022. She played in all 16 games and made seven starts in over 609 minutes played. She scored the game-winning goal in the road win over NC State and knotted her first career assist against Clemson.
Dente finished her collegiate career with two seasons at Providence. During her time with the Friars, she played in 37 games and made 33 starts. She had two goals and three assists over her two seasons and helped the Friars advance to the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
