Cardinals Host Eastern Michigan on Sunday Night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Louisville women's soccer team will host Eastern Michigan in Lynn Stadium on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Cardinals enter the match with a 3-0 record after defeating Saint Louis 1-0 on Thursday night. Senior Brooklynn Rivers scored the Cards' lone goal in the second half for Louisville victory.

Maisie Whitsett and Rivers lead the Cardinals in scoring with four points. Arianna Ferraro and Emina Ekic lead the Cardinals with two assists each. Junior keeper Gabby Kouzelos has a 3-0 record in goal with two shutouts. She owns a .380 goals against average to start the season.

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 20th season with the Cardinals. She has led Louisville to five NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.

SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN
Eastern Michigan started the season with a 1-1-1 record. The Titans fell 2-0 at Michigan State on Thursday night.

The Eagles have three players, Kristin Nason, Amanda Cripps, and Marla Cobetto each with one goal each in their first two games of the year. Keeper Mabel Dunn owns a 1-1-1 record for the Titans. She has 16 saves on the year along with a 1.29 goals against average.

The Eagles are led by Scott Hall in his 21st season. Hall owns a career record of 69-40-10.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's meeting will be the first meeting between the two teams.
