LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's soccer team tallied a 0-0 draw in its match against No. 22 Florida State on Sunday afternoon at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
The draw extends Louisville's unbeaten streak to a program-best 10 consecutive matches and keeps UofL undefeated in conference play. The Cards now have eight points in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings, which is second behind No. 1 North Carolina's nine.Louisville (8-1-2, 2-0-2 ACC) battled Florida State (4-1-3, 0-0-2 ACC) with its high press defense throughout the first half, holding the Seminoles to zero shots in the period. The best chance of the half came from Betsy Huckaby in the 24th minute off a set piece outside the box.
After the break, Louisville came out with energy and collected seven shots and six corners in the second half but was unable to capitalize on these chances. Neither team ended up on the board, resulting in a 0-0 draw.
