The draw extends Louisville's unbeaten streak to nine in a row

BERKELEY, Calif. – The University of Louisville women's soccer team posted its first draw of the season, a 1-1 final against California Sunday afternoon at Edwards Stadium.

Louisville (8-1-1, 2-0-1 ACC) struck first when Eefje Bötjer headed the ball into the back of the net off a corner taken by Amelia Swinarski in the 36^th minute. The goal was Bötjer's first in a Cardinal uniform and the second of her collegiate career.

California (2-4-4, 0-2-1 ACC) earned the equalizer in the 63^rd minute to tie the match at 1-1, a score that held until time expired.

Louisville led the shot margin 14-8 with Cal's lone shot on goal finding the back of the net.

The Cards will enjoy a week off before returning to action at home on Sunday, September 27 with a contest against No. 21 Florida State. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET with the game to be broadcast on ACC Network.
