Miller Adds Third Freshman All-America Honor

Righthanded pitcher named to Second Team by D1Baseball after finishing 6-1 with 2.97 ERA
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville pitcher Bobby Miller added his third 2018 Freshman All-America accolade last week as the righthander was tabbed as a Second Team selection by D1Baseball. Miller was previously honored by Perfect Game (First Team) and Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
A native of McHenry, Illinois, Miller closed his first collegiate season with a 6-1 record, 2.97 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched and 17 total appearances, including nine starts. An All-ACC Third Team honoree and a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team, Miller pitched in the weekend rotation for the Cardinals in each of the final seven weeks of the regular season. He started the ACC Championship title game and earned the victory against Kent State in the elimination game of the 2018 NCAA Lubbock Regional.
The Louisville baseball team closed its 2018 season with a 45-19 record overall after advancing to the championship round of an NCAA Regional for the seventh straight season. Louisville also registered its seventh straight 40-win season and the 11th in 12 seasons under head coach Dan McDonnell.
