
Louisville Hosts No. 2 Wake Forest in Regular Season Finale

Kickoff set for 7 p.m., ET; Free admission through "Cards Kick Hunger" food drive
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville men's soccer team will close the regular season with a visit from No. 2 Wake Forest on Friday at 7 p.m., ET at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. Prior to the match, the Cardinals will honor seniors Louie Berra, Shane Campbell and Ben Strong. The match will be televised by ESPN3, while live stats will be provided through GoCards.com.
CARDS KICK HUNGER
The Cardinals will host their annual "Cards Kick Hunger" food drive during Friday's match against the Demon Deacons. Fans who bring a food donation to the match will receive FREE admission. HALLOWEEN WEEKEND AT LYNN
Fans are encouraged to kickoff Halloween weekend in style by wearing costumes to Friday's match. Those in costume will have the chance to win prizes from Louisville Soccer.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Louisville, enters Friday's match following a 2-1 road loss at North Carolina last Friday night. Leading the way for coach Ken Lolla's club is freshman Tate Schmitt, who has six goals to go with four assists, while Daniel Johnson has five goals overall. Andrew Brody and Tim Kubel have three goals each in 2015 and junior Romilio Hernandez and senior Ben Strong have scored twice each this season. The Cardinals have also received goals from Shane Campbell, Jack Gayton, Ricardo Oliveros, Danny Reynolds and Ethan Vanacore-Decker.
ABOUT THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest enters the weekend at 13-1-2 overall following a 4-0 win over Davidson on Tuesday. Last Saturday, they defeated No. 4 Notre Dame 2-1 in Winston-Salem. Joe Bakero leads Wake with seven goals, while three players are next with six goals each. Last season, Wake Forest was 10-7-2 overall after advancing to the NCAA Championship and was third in the ACC Atlantic with a 5-3-0 conference mark.
SERIES SNAPSHOT
Friday will mark the fifth meeting between the Cardinals and Demon Deacons in a series dating back to 2007. The series is tied at 2-2 overall, but Louisville is 1-0 at home against Wake Forest. Last season, the Cardinals dropped a 1-0 overtime decision on the road against the Demon Deacons.

• The Cardinals are 6-2-2 at home in 2015 and 13-5-5 all-time at Lynn Stadium since its opening in 2014.

• Tim Kubel leads the Cardinals with 10 career goals, while Andrew Brody is next with nine. Both Kubel and Brody have three goals each this season.

CARDINALS AT NO. 26 IN THIS WEEK'S RPI; ACC WITH 10 OF THE TOP 30 TEAMS
Entering the final week of the regular season, the Atlantic Coast Conference has asserted itself as the top league in the nation in 2015. In the latest NCAA RPI released on Monday morning, 10 ACC schools are ranked in the top 30 spots, including No. 26 Louisville. The Cardinals are joined by No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 10 Syracuse, No. 14 Boston College, No. 25 Virginia, No. 27 NC State and No. 30 Duke.
SCHMITT RANKS SEVENTH IN ACC IN GOALS, POINTS
After more than nine weeks of action, Louisville freshman Tate Schmitt has emerged as one of the standout attackers in the Atlantic Coast Conference ranking among the top players in the prestigious league in goals and points. With six goals, Schmitt is tied for seventh in the conference, while his 16 points are tied for seventh most in the league entering this weekend's games.
LOUISVILLE HOSTS HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT ON SEPT. 25
The University of Louisville men's soccer program hosted Hispanic Heritage Night at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium on Sept. 25 as the Cardinals played to a 1-1 draw against ACC foe NC State.
In conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the Cardinals recognized and celebrated the Latino culture in America and the inspiring individuals of the past who worked for the advancement of the Hispanic community. The Latino community is a growing and dignified group in the United States and has made progress in all areas including business, politics, education, athletics, music, and entertainment, and has successfully fused itself within the culture of America.
Louisville's 2015 roster features six players with Hispanic heritage – senior Jerry Ramirez, junior Romilio Hernandez and freshmen Oliver Calvo, Eric Izaguirre, Ricardo Oliveros and Max Stiegwardt. The festivities were a celebration of tradition, heritage and soccer as the Cardinals continue their 2015 slate.
During the match, the Louisville men's soccer program honored and recognized the University of Louisville Hispanic Latino Faculty and Staff Association, which advises the President and the University of Louisville community on the nature of issues and needs confronting the Hispanic/Latino Faculty, Staff, and Students in the University. The HLFSA also provides assistance in evaluating University programs as they pertain to the Hispanic/Latino community, provides input to University and City of Louisville officials and assists the Hispanic/Latino community to make the University system more accessible.
