Giacomo Zizza Named to Hermann Trophy Midfielders Watch List

KANSAS CITY, MO – Giacomo Zizza of the University of Louisville men's soccer team has been selected to the 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Midfielders to Watch List, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Friday.
Zizza, a transfer from Lehigh University, played in 20 games last season for the Mountain Hawks. He contributed four goals and led the team with nine assists, totaling 17 points on the year.
The junior earned First Team All-Patriot League and First Team All-Atlantic Region honors in 2025. In September, Zizza was recognized as Patriot League Offensive Player and Midfielder of the Week following his first career brace in a 3-3 draw against Army. The midfielder was also named to the 2025 Patriot League All-Tournament Team after leading Lehigh to the conference championship game.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2025 who are scheduled to return for the 2026 season.
These positional announcements also lead up to the 2026 watch lists for the prestigious Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy on the official start date for regular season games on August 19 (men). The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the Division I National Players of the Year as voted by Division I College Coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Mo.
