Andrés Escudero Martín Named to Hermann Trophy Forwards Watch List

KANSAS CITY, MO – Andrés Escudero Martín of the University of Louisville men's soccer team has been selected to the 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Forwards to Watch List, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Monday.
Escudero, a transfer from Evansville, played in 20 games last season for the Purple Aces with 15 starts. He contributed a team-high 11 goals, ranking second among NCAA freshmen and second in the Mountain Valley Conference.
The sophomore racked up the conference accolades last season as he was named MVC Freshman of the Year, First Team All-MVC, MVC All-Freshman Team, and MVC All-Tournament Team. He also earned United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team honors in 2025.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2025 who are scheduled to return for the 2026 season.
These positional announcements also lead up to the 2026 watch lists for the prestigious Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy on the official start date for regular season games on August 19 (men). The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the Division I National Players of the Year as voted by Division I College Coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Mo.
