
Women's Soccer Team Continues Academic Excellence

LOUISVILLE, KY - Seventeen members of the University of Louisville women's soccer team have been named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and participate in a conference-sponsored sport. The total represents over 10% of the 158 U of L student-athletes on the list.
In addition, 28 U of L student-athletes earned the Commissioner's Academic Medal for posting a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher for the academic year, four of which are members of the women's soccer team.
The women's soccer team previously received the NCAA/adidas Team Academic Award for posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2001-2002 academic year. The Cardinals posted a 3.19 team GPA for the year, while finishing with the highest win total since the 1997 season. For the Fall 2002 term, the team earned a 3.22 overall GPA.
Louisville will open the 2003 season on August 31 at 1:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park. The Cardinals finished the spring schedule undefeated.
