
Louisville Swimmers Set to Go Dancing at NCAAs

12 swimmers and five relays qualified for the championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 7-ranked University of Louisville women's swimming and diving team had 12 swimmers qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships as the NCAA selection release was revealed on Wednesday, Mar. 4.Â
The women's championship will be held at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta from Wednesday, Mar. 18 to Saturday, Mar. 21, and the meet will be streamed on ESPN+. ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the women's championships will be on ESPNU at 9 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Mar. 25.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships either by winning their conference championship in an event with an established minimum time in that swim or by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving Championships held March 8-11. The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays and alternates) competing in the championships is available at usaswimming.org/ncaa. Selected divers will be announced Thursday, March 12.
Divers earn their automatic spot for the championships at the Zone C Diving Championships, hosted by Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich. at Michael H. Jones Natatorium from Mar. 9-11. Selected divers will be announced on Thursday, Mar. 12.Â
Summer Cardwell, Mia Cheatwood, Julia Dennis, Leticia Fassina Romao, Daria Golovaty, Anastasia Gorbenko, Thilda Hall, Kim Herkle, Caroline Larsen, Julie Mishler, Camille Murray, and Ella Welch along with relay swimmers Maya Bezanson and Xeniya Ignatova will represent the Cards down in Atlanta.Â
