
Cardinals Move Up at NCAA Championships After Day 2

Rayce Winn makes history as the first male diver to score at NCAAs
ATLANTA -- The University of Louisville moved into 12th place after two days of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championship at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.Â

Louisville has scored 53 points after two days of competition. Texas took the lead today with 215.5 points followed by Florida (205), Arizona State (133.5) Indiana (132.5), Cal (124), NC State (122), Michigan (115), Tennessee (107), Virginia (88), Stanford (83), and Ohio State (63) to round out the top 12.Â

UofL swam in the finals of the 200 free relay, finishing sixth with a time of 1:14.94, second fastest relay in school history, a mark this same foursome set at the ACC Championships in February.  Nikita Sheremet led off with an 18.74 split, followed by Charlie Crush, who went 18.76. Next in the water was Aiden Musso, who turned in an 18.52 before Rian Graham anchored with a time of 18.92.  The event was won by Arizona State with the Sun Devils posting a time of 1:12.46.Â

The Cardinals also picked up valuable points from diver Rayce Winn, who finished 13th on the 1-meter springboard to become the first male diver to score at NCAAs.Â

ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men's championships will be on ESPNU at 7 p.m. ET, Monday, March 30.Â

A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships either by winning their conference championship in an event with an established minimum time in that swim or by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers were determined by performances achieved at the Zone C Diving Championships held Mar. 8-11 in Ypsilanti, Mich. Selected divers were announced Thursday, Mar. 12. The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays, and alternates) competing in the championships is available at usaswimming.org/ncaa.

Tommy Bried, Guy Brooks, Jake Eccleston, Gregg Enoch, Jackson Millard, and Nikita Sheremet along with relay swimmers Finnley Conklin, Charlie Crush, Rian Graham, and Aiden Musso will represent the Cards down in Atlanta. Rayce Winn will compete in 1-meter diving, while Ray Preas will compete on the platform.
