First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET at Indiana.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball team heads north to take on Indiana on Tuesday in Bloomington. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Radio coverage will be available on 93.9 The Ville and 970 WGTK.
CARDS TAKE TWO OF THREE FROM CAL
Louisville got Friday and Sunday victories to secure the series against Cal over the weekend. The Cardinals got a walk-off single from Jake Munroe to win the opener 11-10 before notching a 13-6 win in the finale. Louisville scored in double figures in all three contests, the first time the Cards have done that against an ACC opponent since April of 2022 versus NC State.
INDIANA SERIES HISTORY
Louisville and Indiana will meet for the 55th time on Tuesday night with the Hoosiers holding a 29-25 edge in the all-time series. Despite the losing record overall, the Cardinals are 12-10 all-time in Bloomington. The two programs did not play last season due to inclement weather.
CARDS HAVE RECORD NIGHT IN BLOOMINGTON
Louisville's 2019 trip to Indiana was a memorable one with the Cards picking up an 8-7 victory in 12 innings. Louisville pitchers struck out 23 hitters in the win, the highest single-game total by the Cardinals on record since at least 2000.

HOME RUN TOTAL CONTINUING TO RISE FOR DAVIS
Tague Davis had a reputation for big power as a standout at Malvern Preperatory School, and that power has been on full display during his freshman season.
At the midway point of the season, Davis leads the Cardinals and ranks fifth in the ACC with 10 home runs after recording his first collegiate multi-homer game on Saturday against Cal.
Davis currently leads all Division I freshmen in home runs and joins Alex Binelas (True FR in 2019) and Chris Dominguez (RS-FR in 2007) as the only freshmen with double digit home runs under Dan McDonnell.
FORBES RACKING UP STRIKEOUTS AT HIGH RATE
Patrick Forbes is in his first season in Louisville's starting rotation and has started the opening game of each weekend through the first half of the year.
Through seven starts, the right-hander has tallied 65 strikeouts in just 37.0 innings. Forbes currently ranks second nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (15.8) and fourth in total strikeouts, leading the ACC in both categories.
Reid Detmers set Louisville's single-season strikeout record with 167 in 2019. Detmers had 76 punchouts through his first seven starts that season.
CARDIAC CARDS WINNING IN DRAMATIC FASHION
The 2025 season has just reached the halfway point, but this Louisville team has already recorded four walk-off victories after the 11-10 win over Cal.
Louisville opened the season with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Texas and also notched an 8-6 walk-off win in the series opener against St. John's and a 9-8 walk-off win over Morehead State. The four walk-off wins have already surpassed the Cardinals' total of three from the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined.
Two of Louisville's four last at-bat wins have come with the Cardinals trailing entering the ninth inning. Louisville has two wins this season when trailing after eight innings after going 3-76 in the same scenario from 2020-24.

TEAM NOTES
- Louisville has an .819 winning percentage (185-41) in regular season non-conference games since the start of 2016.
- The Louisville offense has tallied double digit hits in 17 of 27 games to start the season, going 15-2 in those contests. The Cards notched at least 10 hits 29 times in 2024, posting a 22-7 mark when doing so.
- The Cardinals are 20-2 this season when outhitting their opponent and 0-5 when losing the hit battle.
- Louisville is 17-2 when hitting a home run this season.
- The Cardinals have more free passes as an offense than strikeouts, tallying 125 walks and 47 HBPs to 167 strikeouts.
- Louisville is 13-1 when it limits the opposition to five runs or less and 18-2 when its opponent is kept in single digits.
PLAYER NOTES
- Lucas Moore has been the ultimate weapon at the top of the lineup for the Cards. Moore leads the Cardinals with 41 runs scored and is tops in the ACC in runs per game. The speedy outfielder is also a perfect 20-for-20 in stolen bases, pacing the conference in that category as well. Moore owns a 25-game reached base streak and 12-game hit streak heading into Tuesday's contest, both career bests.
- Tagger Tyson redshirted last season and began this year splitting time as the back-up catcher. With Matt Klein down due to injury, Tyson has been thrust into a starting role and been excellent at the plate. Tyson is hitting .386 with eight extra base hits in 44 at-bats. He is batting .500 (10-for-20) with three doubles, a homer and eight RBIs in five ACC games, and he leads the Cardinals with a .643 average (9-for-14) with runners in scoring position.
- Eddie King Jr. went on the shelf with an injury just four games into the season and missed nearly three weeks. King returned to the starting lineup for the first time in the finale of the North Carolina series, but he has really heated up at the plate over the last week. The senior went 7-for-12 in four games last week, with two doubles, a home run and six runs scored. King led the Cardinals in home runs and RBIs in 2024.
- Jake Munroe has made an immediate impact in the middle of Louisville's lineup. The junior college All-American is seventh in the ACC in batting average and on-base percentage, eighth in hits and triples, 13th in runs, 14th in total bases and 16th in slugging. Munroe has a hit in 22 of 27 games this season and is tied for the team lead with 13 multi-hit games.
- Zion Rose has an exception freshman campaign that saw him hit .380 with 19 extra-base hits and 32 RBIs while finishing with more walks than strikeouts. The start to 2025 has seen more of the same but with more damage. Rose is hitting .333 and already has 15 extra-base hits and 30 RBIs in just 27 games. The increase in production hasn't affected his plate discipline though, as he has 10 walks and three HBPs to just 14 strikeouts.
- Wyatt Danilowicz missed all of the 2024 season due to injury, but has been outstanding in his return to the mound. In 11 relief appearances, the southpaw has allowed just one unearned run over 10.2 innings with 16 strikeouts. Danilowicz earned his first career save in the weekend finale against UIC, recording the final four outs.
