FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Four Cardinals will head to finals after preliminaries in the final day of competition at the 2025 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington.
The Cardinals will send three to the finals tonight in the 100 freestyle, led by Julia Dennis, who posted a 47.11 to qualify sixth. In the consolation final tonight will be Gabi Albiero, who touched 12th overall with a 47.57 and Lucy Mehraban will join her after posting a 47.81 which is 15th overall. Ella Welch went 48.44, Caroline Larsen went 48.02 and Daria Golovaty went 48.77 but did not advance to the finals.
In the 200 fly, Tristen Ulett carved almost two seconds off her entry time with a 1:53.89 to win her prelim to make the consolation final tonight. Summer Cardwell posted a 1:57.61 in her preliminary heat.

In the 200 backstroke, Rye Ulett turned in a 1:53.93 to finish fifth in her heat and 33rd overall.

In the 200 breaststroke, Kim Herkle and Mia Cheatwood posted identical times of 2:08.73 to finish 18th just short of the consolation final. Fernanda Celidonio was second in her heat with a 2:10.56 and 31st overall.
The 1650 will be contested all afternoon with Louisville's miler Leticia Romao swimming at 4:59 p.m. Platform diving will feature Samm Helmboldt this afternoon as well.Â
