Cardinals Finish Three-Game Sweep of Western Michigan

Louisville closed out the series with a 10-4 win on Monday.
Louisville (5-1) secured its fourth straight win, completing the three-game sweep to open its home schedule.
The Cardinals' offense spread the wealth around on Monday, scoring in seven of the eight innings they went to the plate.
Matt Klein kicked off the start of a big day with a two-run double in the first inning and followed with a run-scoring single in the second. Jake Munroe added a RBI double of his own in the second.
Kamau Neighbors brought home a run with a safety squeeze bunt in the third and Garret Pike tacked on Louisville's sixth run of the afternoon with a hustle double one inning later.
Western Michigan (0-7) put a run on the board in each of the first three innings, but Brennyn Cutts took over in the fourth and put a stop to the offense.
The right-hander retired 10 of the 13 batters he faced in 3.2 scoreless innings to pick up his first win of his Louisville tenure. Wyatt Danilowicz recorded the next four outs and Tucker Biven closed things out in the ninth.
Stretching out the margin late, Klein added a solo home run in the seventh. Nate Earley then came off the bench in the eighth and launched his first home run as a Card.
Klein finished the day 3-for-5 with four RBIs, coming up just a triple shy of the cycle. Munroe, Pike and Zion Rose each added two hits.
Louisville will welcome Butler to Jim Patterson Stadium on Wednesday, with first pitch set for 3 p.m. ET.
