No. 5/3 Louisville Set to Compete at Ohio State Invite

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 5/3 University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to travel to Columbus, Ohio to compete in the Ohio State Invitational on Tuesday through Friday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The meet will be streamed on B1G+, and live results will be available on the Meet Mobile App.
Tuesday's finals session will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m. and finals will begin at 5:30 p.m. Diving prelims will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday-Friday.
The Cardinals are coming off a pair of sweeps against No. 21/NR Kentucky on Nov. 6 and No. 25/NR Notre Dame on Nov. 7. Against the Wildcats, the women won 218-82, while the men came out on top 209-91. Versus the Fighting Irish, both teams secured the victory 218-84.
For the No. 3 women in the back-to-back meets, freshman Julie Mishler set a freshman record in the 50 back with a time of 24.12, which ranks No. 4 in school history and No. 14 in NCAA D1. Senior Mia Cheatwood earned a pool record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:07.85, which ranks No. 5 in the country. Caroline Larsen, Ella Welch, Julia Dennis, and Mishler claimed three pool records in the 200-medley relay (1:34.30, No. 3 school all-time), 200 free relay (1:26.28, No. 8 school all-time), and 400 free relay (3:11.14, No. 7 school all-time). Their 200 free relay performance ranks No. 2 nationally.
On the men's side, who jumped seven spots to No. 5 in the CSCAA Poll, senior Guy Brooks set a pool record with a time of 1:32.22 which comes in at No. 2 in the nation. Jackson Millard, Finnley Conklin, Aiden Musso, and Nikita Sheremet earned a pool record in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:23.42, which ranks No. 4 in the country. Charlie Crush, Rian Graham, Musso, and Sheremet claimed a pool record in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:16.78, which also ranks No. 4 nationally.
Other teams competing at the Ohio State Invite include No. 19/14 Ohio State, No. 3/10 Indiana No. 23/NR Kentucky, No. 24/NR Northwestern (Diving only), Purdue, Pittsburgh (Diving Only), Yale, UCLA (Women only), Cincinnati, Miami, (Diving only), and Penn State.
