Cardinals Conclude Homestand with Boston College

Louisville will honor the senior class prior to Thursday’s match
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's soccer team is back in action this week for their final home game of the regular season. The Cardinals welcome Boston College to Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium for a Thursday night match under the lights. The Cardinals and Eagles will square off at 7 p.m. ET and it will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
Thursday's match will be Senior Night as the Cardinals senior class will be honored prior to the match. Brooke Dardano, Amber Jackson, Ava Nielsen and Jolie St. Louis will all take part in the pre-game ceremony prior to the match against the Eagles.
Last time out for the Cardinals, they knocked off No. 25 Cal, 2-1, at Lynn Stadium this past Sunday. Louisville improved to 6-2-2 at home this season with the win and they have only allowed one goal or less in all 10 home games this season.
Mackenzie Geigle scored both goals for the Cardinals for her second brace of the season. She leads the team with seven goals and 17 points on the season. The seven goals is currently tied for ninth in the ACC this season. It is also the most goals scored by a Louisville player since Emina Ekic had seven in the 2020 season.
Dardano tallied her team-leading seventh assist on Geigle's first goal of the match in the 12th minute. Her seven assists currently rank tied for fifth for most in a single season in program history. The seven assists are also tied for seventh-most in the ACC this season.
Erynn Floyd picked up her sixth win of the season in goal over the Golden Bears. She had five saves in the win, her fourth-straight game with five or more saves.
Following the matchup with Boston College, the Cards will be back in action next week for the regular season finale. Louisville will travel to Clemson to take on the Tigers on Thursday, October 31. The Cards and Tigers will square off at 7 p.m. ET and it will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
