Swimming Set to Host Last Chance Meet

Cardinals will be swimming for NCAA qualifying times
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to host the Louisville Last Chance Meet Feb. 24-25 at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. Joining the Cards will be swimmers and divers from Notre Dame, Pitt, Harvard and Cincinnati.
Action begins in prelims on Friday at 10 a.m. with finals beginning at 5 p.m. at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.
The Cardinals are coming off a strong showing at last week's Atlantic Coast Conference Championships held at Greensboro Aquatic Center. The five day meet culminated on day five when UofL set three school records and won a gold, a silver and two bronze medals on the final day of racing as the Louisville men and women both finished third.
On the diving side, the meet was the second highest scoring women's dive team at ACCs and Else Praasterink was the third highest point scorer at the meet. with 70. Lindsay Gizzi was the fifth highest with 58. The 154 points scored by the women's tem was the most at ACCs in school history. On the men's side, Che Stephens was the fifth highest point scorer at the championships with 57.5.
