No. 12/5 Swimming and Diving Head to Ohio State

 LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Univeristy of Louisville swimming and diving teams will compete at the Ohio State Fall Invitational held at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion this Thursday through Saturday.

After a two week training break, the No. 12/3 ranked men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel north to face the nationally ranked Buckeyes. Other schools in attendance will be Indiana, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Ohio University (Diving Only), Cal (Diving Only), and Kenyon (Diving Only).
The meet will be contested over three days with action getting started at 9:30am with the 200 freestyle relay. Prelims will be conducted in the morning in meters and finals will follow in the afternoon in yards.

Two weeks ago, the men's and women's squads split with nationally ranked Notre Dame. The women won in dominant fashion besting the Fighting Irish 218-82 and the men fell 162-138 after a late surge in points over the final events.The women are led by senior Gabi Albiero and graduate student Christiana Regenauer who both took home gold in their respective events two weeks ago. Albiero is also coming off an impressive victory in the 50 freestyle at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile back at the end of October. The men will represent well with Matias Santiso, Denis Petrashov, and Gustavo Saldo who all earned victories two weeks ago in their dual with Notre Dame.
