
Cardinals Finish 12th at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA -- The University of Louisville completed their final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech. Â

The Cardinals finished with 82 points for 12th points. Texas held on to the lead for the national championship with 445.5 points followed by Florida (416), Indiana (351), Arizona State (328), Tennessee (272), NC State (258.5), California (231), Michigan (220), Virginia (192), Stanford (136), Virginia Tech (86), Louisville (82), USC (69), Georgia (64.5), LSU (61), Auburn (55) , Kentucky (52), UNC (50.5) and Pitt (48) round out the top 20.Â

In the 200 Individual Medley, Gregg Enoch put a time of 1:42.39 up on the board to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors and finish 16th in the field.  His time ranks him second all time in Cardinal history. Jackson Millard turned in a 1:43.11 to finish 23rd overall. Indiana's Owen McDonald boarded a 1:39.48, the only swimmer sub-1:40 to be the top qualifier for tonight's finals.Â

In the 100 freestyle, Nikita Sheremet clocked in at 41.41 to finish 12th  and earned HM All-American honors.  Guy Brooks sprinted to a time of 41.67 to finish 20th. The favorite tonight will be Pitt's Julian Koch, who went 40.52.  Â

In the 200 butterfly, Tommy Bried posted a time of 1:41.93 to finish 25th overall. Arizona State's Ilya Kharun will be the man to beat tonight in the finals after posting a 1:38.49.Â

Jackson Millard swam the 200 backstroke, clocking in at 1:44.44. Hubert Kos of Texas stopped the clock at 1:36.29 to earn the top seed for tonight.Â

In the 400 free relay, Nikita Sheremet led off with a split of 42.25 before Guy Brooks put up a 41.39 and improved the Cards to third place. Aiden Musso was the third leg and put up a 42.10 and Rian Graham anchored, clocking in at 42.30. The combined time of 2:48.04 was the second fastest in school history. The Cards finished 15th with Arizona State's foursome going 2:42.38

Diver Ray Preas scored 303.05 on the platform to finish 35th.  Florida's Jesus Gonzalez won with 435.05.
