Cards Bow Out of ITA Ohio Valley Regional

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team bowed out of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Friday in Knoxville on the campus of the University of Tennessee Thursday afternoon at Barksdale Stadium.
The three surviving Cards fell on day two to end Louisville's run in the Regional.  The doubles team of Berta Miret and Lillian fell 8-7 to East Tennessee's Sofia Markova and Alessandra Caceres of East Tennessee. Elena Noguero fell 6-4, 7-5 to Fernanda Carvajal of East Tennessee. Xavier's Imani Graham downed Germany Davis 6-3, 6-1.
The six-day event kicked off Wednesday with qualifying action and concludes on Monday with the singles and doubles main draw championships. All seven of the Cardinals' singles players will be in the Main Draw with four sets of doubles partners competing in the Main Draw as well. Draws will be posted after the qualifying rounds on Wednesday.
