Emina Ekic Named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

Ekic named to the prestigious list for the second straight season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club announced today Louisville junior Emina Ekic was one of 61 NCAA Division I players named to the 2019 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, presented by World Wide Technology.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, presented by World Wide Technology, is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year. This year's winners will be announced Jan. 10, 2020 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Ekic is named to the prestigious list for the second straight year. Ekic earned second team All-American honors by the United Soccer Coaches Association last season. She was named a first team All-Atlantic Region selection after an impressive sophomore campaign. Following the regular season, she earned first team All-ACC honors.
The Louisville native was outstanding in ACC play last season. She finished the regular season with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. In her sophomore campaign last year, Ekic became the first Louisville player to be named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
The MAC Hermann Trophy Watch Lists are compiled by members of the United Soccer Coaches Men's and Women's NCAA Division I All-America Committees. Fifteen semifinalists will be named for both the men's and women's MAC Hermann Trophy near the end of the college season based on voting by NCAA Division I coaches and from those candidates, three finalists will ultimately be placed on the ballot for the coveted award.

Season tickets for the 2019 University of Louisville soccer season are on sale now. Reserved chairback tickets are priced at $106 for adults, $85 for faculty/staff, and $85 per ticket for families of four or more. General admission/berm seating is priced at $53 for adults and families of four or more $40 per ticket.
