Cardinals Head to Boston and Wake Forest

Louisville is 18-7 and 11-3 in the ACC
The University of Louisville Volleyball team will be on the road this weekend for a pair of ACC rematches with the Boston College Eagles and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Cards will play in Chestnut Hill against Boston College on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and will then travel to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
The Cardinals currently sit at 18-7 overall, with an ACC conference mark of 11-3. Last week at Cardinal Arena, UofL pulled out a 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-22) win over Miami on Friday, before falling 3-1 (25-27, 16-25, 25-21, 23-25) to Florida State the following Sunday.
On offense, junior Melanie McHenry continues to lead the Cards in kills with 311, despite being injured for the last two matches. Freshman Claire Chaussee stepped in for the injured McHenry and racked up 31 kills in two matches. Senior Amanda Green and Junior Megan Sloan have also picked up 255 and 225 kills, respectively. Defensively, senior Molly Sauer has carried the team thus far with a team-high 402 digs, while freshman Emily Scott continues to make her mark in her first year, leading the team with 79 total blocks.
Boston College
The Eagles of BC enter the week at 13-13 overall, with a conference record of 3-11. The Eagles are returning home after three straight road matches, including last Wednesday's 3-1 (24-26, 21-25, 25-22, 13-25) loss at Syracuse, and a 3-0 (20-25, 18-25, 21-25) sweep at the hands of Virginia Tech. The Eagles are led offensively by Cat Balido, who has accumulated 238 kills on the year, and by Claire Naughton, who has 225 kills. Ally Mullen leads the team in hit percentage at .304, while Jane DeJarld leads the team in assists with 577. Defensively, the Eagles are led by Makenzie Morrison and Jill Strockis, who have 352 and 332 digs respectively. Amaka Chukwujekwu has 84 total blocks.
Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons begin the week at 8-18 overall, with a conference record of 3-11. The Demon Deacons are also returning home after a week-long road trip, in which they suffered a 3-2 (21-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 5-15) loss to NC State, followed by a 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 24-26) loss at North Carolina. Wake Forest is led on offense by Caroline Rassenfoss, who leads the team with 248 kills, and by Caitlyn Della, who is third on the team in kills with 221 and leads the team in hit percentage at .304. Madeline Holt leads the Demon Deacons in assists, with 918. The team is led defensively by Hailey McFadden, who has 322 digs, and by Olivia Saunders, who has 79 total blocks on the year.
