Former Cardinal Charlyn Corral holds two record in the tournament
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- As the 2018 CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship (CU20W) is underway, a former University of Louisville Cardinal stands out in the record books. Mexico's Charlyn Corral owns two impressive records.
Corral has scored four goals in a CU20W match. The four goals is a record for most goals scored by a single player in a match. The record is shared with Shakira Duncan (Jamaica), Kerri Hanks (USA), Kia McNeill (USA), Heather O'Reilly (USA), Lindsay Tarpley (USA) and Kelly Wilson (USA, twice).
Also impressive is that Corral has scored 14 goals in the CU20W. The 14 goals is a tournament record. She netted eight in 2006, four in 2008 and two in 2010. She is also one of only two players to score at least one goal in three separate editions of the tournament, Jodi-Ann Robinson of Canada is the other player.
