Worrell is ranked fourth going into tomorrow's final
The University of Louisville Cardinals Swimming Team had two swimmers compete in the evening session at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. Tuesday night, with Zach Harting in the 200-fly final and Kelsi Worrell in the 200-fly semi-final.
Â
In the 200-fly finals, Zach Harting went 1:56.92 for a lifetime best  and finished seventh in the nation. The event was won by Michael Phelps, who led at the 50 meter mark and then held off a challenge by Tom Shields (1:55.81). Phelps, the 22 time Olympic medalist, touched in 1:54.84 to qualify for a historic fifth Olympic Games.
Â
Already locked into a Rio berth, Kelsi Worrell qualified for tomorrow's final with a fourth place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:08.94, a half second better than her prelims swim powered by a strong second half. The event was not without drama as favorite Cammile Adams was disqualified in the prelims and then reinstated. She regrouped and put up a 2:07.31, nearly a second faster than her prelim times. Hali Flickinger was second in 2:07.79, over a half second faster than this morning. Third seed goes to 16 year old Cassidy Bayer, who touched in 2:07.97, a new personal best time.  Â
