Swimming and Diving Wins Four Events in Second Session of Michigan Triple Header

Cards drop second "game" 158-99.
The Cardinals won four races in the second session of the tripleheader meet with Michigan. The Cardinals dropped the session 158-99.

In the first race of the day, the Cardinals won the 200 medley relay. The foursome of Alina Kendzior (25.86), Andrea Cottrell (28.38), Grace Oglesby (24.63) and Mallory Comerford (24.63) posted a 1:41.22 for the win.

The Cardinal men touched second in the 200 medley relay when Grigory Tarasevich (22.53), Carlos Claverie (25.02), Josh Quallen (21.39) and Trevor Carroll (19.70) combined forces for a 1:28.64.

In the 1000 free, Marah Pugh was the top Card, touching fourth (10.14.76). Maggie Jahns was fifth (10.16.82), and Sophie Cattermole was sixth (10.19.41).

In the men's 1000: Jarrett Jones was the top finisher for the Ville (5th, 9:26.72) followed by Jake Schultz (6th, 9:38.43), and Marcelo Acosta (7th, 9:45.35).

The Cards took top two spots in women's 200-Fly. Abbie Houck won the event in 1:59.88. Grace Oglesby was second in 2:01.24. Marah Pugh went 2:02.72 (6th).

Sophomore Zach Harting wins the 200-fly in 1:49.05 for Louisville. Josh Quailed wass third in 1:50.56.

Andrea Cottrell touched first in the 100 Breast, going 1:01.60. She was followed by Silvia Guerra (6th, 1:05.70), Lauren James (7th, 1:06.29), and Manuela Sampaio (8th, 1:08.58)

In men's 100 breast, Carlos Claverie touched 2nd in 55.63. Also in that race for the Cards, Jonathan Zouch (6th, 58.68), Brennen Berger (7th, 58.83), and Todd Owen (8th 59.71).

In 1M Diving, Andrea Acquista finished third with a 267.97. Â Molly Fears was fifth (258.23).

In 3M Diving, Daniel Fecteau was second with a 311.18. Evan Cooper was fifth (264.98), and Sean Riley seventh (213.23).
