Junior: Trevor Carroll was a formidable point scorer for the Cardinals as a junior, earning All-ACC honors in two events. At NCAAs, he was a part of the 7th place 800-free relay team (6:15.86) with a split of 1:33.68. In the 200-free relay consols, (1:18.24), he split 19.89. He reached the podium in the 400-medley relay, winning bronze with a 3:04.73, helped by his anchor of 42.02. He was 8th in the consols of the 200-free with a 1:34.77. He was part of the fifth place 200-medley relay (1:2.08) At ACCs, he scored 78 points for the Cardinals. He won silver in the 500-free with a time of 4:15.77. He was fourth in the 200-free with a time of 1:33.52 and sixth in the 100-free, going 43.07. He won silver as a part of the 200-medley relay team (1:24.01) with an anchor of 18.67. Another silver came in the 800-free relay, (6:14.96) with a leadoff leg of 1:33.63. In the 200-free relay, he earned bronze with a leadoff of 19.57 en route to a 1:18.15. At the Arena Pro Series in Indy, he was a finalist in the 200-meter free (1:51.27), the 50-meter free (23.85), the 400-meter free (4:05.54) and the 100-free (51.05) In Charlotte, he was a finalist in the 200-meter free (1:55.24). In Mesa, he finalled in the 200-meter free (1:52.11), the 400-free (4:10.00) and the 100-meter free (51.70). At the US Open Championships in August, he was part of the second place 4x100 free relay (3:23.01) with a split of 49.61 and a part of the fourth place 4x200-meter free relay (7:29.98), splitting 1:49.22. He finished 13th in the 50-meter free (23.28). He was a qualifier for the US Olympic Trials as well. In the. dual season, highlights included wins in the 50-free versus Xavier, Tennessee, Florida State and Kentucky. In the 100-free, he won against Xavier, FSU and the UofL Invitational. In the 200-free, he touched first against Cincinnati, Tennessee and Kentucky. He won the 500-free versus Cincinnati, FSU and Kentucky. He was named to the All-ACC Academic team and was named a four-time Conference Swimmer of the Week by Collegeswimming.com.

Sophomore: Trevor had a breakout year for the Cardinals as a sophomore and earned All-ACC Academic honors, All-ACC honors in four events and was a two-time All-American and an honorable mention All-American. . At the ACC Championships, he scored 74 points for the Cards with a silver medal in the 500-free (4:16.03) and a sixth place in the 200-free, going 1:35.20. He also made the A-final in the 100-free where he finished eighth with a 43.79. He anchored the gold medal 400-medley relay with a 42.38 and won silver in the 800-free relay with a leadoff split of 1:33.99. He added additional points with a fourth place in the 400-free relay with an anchor split of 43.48. During the dual season, he had three firsts against archrival Kentucky, winning the 200-free (1:36.14), the 500-free (4:29.34) and leading off the 400-free relay with a split of 44.48. At the meet with Indiana and Ohio State, he was second in both the 200-free (1:36.79) and the 400-free relay, where he split the anchor leg in 43.90. Against Florida State, he was first in the 500-free (4:28.79) and won the 200-free in 1:38.39. At USA Short Course Nationals, he was part of the winning 4x200 free relay team, splitting 1:34.77 as leadoff and touched fifth in the finals of the 500-free in 4:18.73. At the same meet, he as sixth in the 200-free with a 1:35.57 and split 19.48 in the 4x50 free relay as anchor. He was fifth at the At the USA National Championships, he finished eighth in the 200-meter freestyle with a 1:50.13 and 15th in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 50.19. At the Arena Pro Series at Charlotte, he finaled in the 200-meter free with a 1:53.16 and in the 400-meter free with a 4:04.73.

Freshman: Trevor helped the 200- and 800-freestyle relays to victories in the American Conference Championships, along with placing second in the 500-freestyle and third in the 200-freestyle events. He was named to the All-American Conference team for his efforts and competed as a relay swimmer in the NCAA Championships helping Louisville finish 10th in the 800 free relay.

Prep: Trevor Carroll is from Granger, Indiana where he attended Saint Joseph's High School and swam for Pro Swimming. While attending St. Joseph's, Carroll was a two- time state champion in the 200- freestyle, an Indiana Senior State Champion in the 50-, 100-, and 500- freestyle, and earned a 3- time Northern Indiana Conference MVP title. Carroll competed for Pro Swimming and earned a fifth place finish in the 2012 summer Junior Nationals in the 200- meter freestyle.
