Women's Soccer Hosts Awards Banquet for 2012 Season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's soccer program hosted its annual team banquet on Feb. 8 at the PNC Club inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
During the event, head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes recapped the 2012 season and announced each of the team awards from the fall. The team's Most Valuable Player award was presented to goalkeeper Chloe Kiefer, who closed out her Louisville career by starting 42 straight games in goal.
Charlyn Corral was selected as the Offensive MVP after scoring a team-high 23 points and scoring eight goals overall. Kiefer was selected as the Defensive MVP after leading the Cardinals to eight shutout wins in 2012.
Megan Berberich was selected for the 12th Man Award, Julie Casselman earned the Cardinal Award and Angelika Uremovich was selected for the Coach's Award. The Cardinals will begin their 2013 spring schedule on March 23 at Ohio State. Louisville's first spring match at home is set for April 7 against Ole Miss at Cardinal Park.
